  1. This is (for me) the winning squad. Mikel unsurprisingly doesn't make it....not surprising when you look at the midfielders at their disposal... Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), David De Gea (Atletico Madrid), Diego Lopez (Villarreal), Jose Reina (Liverpool) Victor Valdes (Barcelona). Defenders: Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid) Cesar Azpilicueta (Osasuna), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal), Carlos Marchena (Valencia), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid). Midfielders: Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Sergi Busquets (Barcelona), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Javi Martinez (Athletic Bilbao) Marcos Senna (Villarreal), David Silva (Valencia), Xavi (Barcelona). Forwards: Santi Cazorla (Villarreal), Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Juan Manuel Mata (Valencia) Pedro Rodriguez (Barcelona), Dani Guiza (Fenerbache) Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla), Fernando Torres (Liverpool FC) and David Villa (Valencia).
  2. He's in the thirty....fucking joke .
  3. Can see battle being drawn on who gets the south facing aspect .
  4. Take a bow Jamie (wherever you are), Ten, blueblood & Bill :graduated: . Thought occurred to me last night. If, last August, we'd have been told we'd finish with more than sixty points and only two points behind Liverpool (who were many experts tips for the title) we'd have been delighted .
  5. George Burley (Ipswich 2000/01) is the only previous winner whose team didn't win the championship. Hodgson got the League Managers Assc award.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/f/fulham/8673848.stm The LMA version is always a bit more realistic in terms of achievment in relation to resources...Davey won it in 2003 and 2005 as well as last year.
  6. Philistines....I give you poetry....some culture to try and raise the tone of the place and what thanks do I get? None . Ah well....back to the gutter. This looks like a nice beer, anyone ever got their lips around one ? Go down a bit.... ...go down a bit more...
  7. I've not sat in the Park End since 1991 .
  8. Vic, Yak & Joey all in the initial thirty man Nigeria squad. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8672850.stm

  11. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/05/10/new-siamese-stadium-plan-for-liverpool-and-everton-football-clubs-unveiled-92534-26411613/ Looks like a total non-starter though.
  12. Must be a clone .
  13. If we can get one the floodgates will open surely?
  14. Can just hear 35,000 people screaming, "Shoooooooooooooooooot!!!"
  15. Got a 3-3 draw at Rangers today (93rd minute Jutkiewicz pen) but not enough to get into the Europa because Hibs won at Dundee United.
  16. 44:11 Tony Hibbert takes a shot. Save by Jamie Ashdown.

  18. It's not looking good .
  19. Away team performance I'd say Hull over Benfica because of the quality of the team we put out and the relative strength of the opposition. The team at Hull was Howard, Neill, Yobo, Distin, Baines, Heitinga, Cahill, Pienaar, Rodwell, Saha and Yakubu. No excuse for that first 45.
  20. That's commitment...love it. Welcome.
  21. Bloody annoying really that these footballers keep marrying my ex-girlfriends .
  22. That's a nice piece....love Jags calling TC "teacher's pet" .
