We're not allowed to say that (even though it's indesputably true to anyone with a passing knowledge of the game) because it makes us "bitter " apparently . And I'd always start Johnny Morrissey ahead of Alan Whittle, much as I loved him . Next season....who know indeed...but we may just be on the verge on something special. You and I have seen success, along with a few others on here....I'd love for the younger lads to get a taste of it. Nothing quite like it . (Had a glass or two of the fizzy stuff so I'm getting all sentimental :crying_anim: )

Heartfelt post Richard....and a lot of good stuff in it. But Moyes was ridiculed in some quarters in the Wet Spam match for not making the late defensive substitution...which cost us the three points apparently. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He's been a lot better in recent years imo....we used to have the horrifically defensive substitutions in drawn home games with half an hour to go. That doesn't happen anymore. But I feel your pain (Amsterdam? Thought you were in Hong Kong or somewhere like that ). Mike...supporter since 67/68....beat you by a year or two .

I still think four wins would give us a Europa place....sadly I can't see us getting them .

Been covered elsewhere but... Carling Cup runners up is not a place. Eighth will not be a place under any circumstances (if Villa or Liverpool win it they get to defend, but that doesn't affect the number of places we get unless they finish outside the qualification places....so if Liverpool won it and finished 7th we'd have three entries, if they won it and finished 8th we'd have four, same goes for Fulham). Could all change if Pompey's appeal is successful.
