  1. It's only a ten team league....eighteen game season . http://www.premierleague.com/page/BTLNLT
  2. Just need to keep you eyes open and your wits about you a bit more in the Goodison car park on match days if he signs .
  3. Yup....no trophies at all. Unless you include the Champions League and the FA Cup . Bit of an unsubstantiated accusation there Reg...you need to back it up .
  4. I don't think anyone will be doing much during it will they?
  5. I see Davey's been signed up as an expert summarizer for 5live at the World Cup. Two advantages to this.... 1) Be able to use the red button to get a decent alternative commentary/opinion (Mark Lawrenson, Mark Bright, Mick McCarthy and Martin Keown are the TV alternatives) 2) Saves BK a few quid on travel/accommodation bills if the beeb are picking up the tab for Davey's scouting mission (every little helps ). http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8637613.stm
  6. My lad's class have gone to see Romeo & Juliet at the Bristol Old Vic tonight. Looked at the cast out of interest, Romeo is played by Michael Byrne (66) and Juliet by Siân Phillips (76 ). I know Shakespeare is often performed out of context and I'm all for pushing the boundaries but that's just a bit odd isn't it?
  7. Colin Murray is taking over from Adrian Chiles (who is rapidly disappearing up his own arse) on MOTD2. BBC manœuvring more Liverpool fans into position then....far too few of them on the beeb aren't there <_< . http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/8637785.stm Having said that I don't really object to him, he's been quite fair to us whenever he's done our games on Five.
  8. There's a Travelodge, a Premier Inn and a Campanile that I've stayed in. Many more....the Travelodge is a bit further out than the other two. There's a Holiday Inn down there too. Try looking here... http://www.booking.com/searchresults.html?city=-2601422&ssne=Liverpool&error_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.booking.com%2Fsearchresults.html%3Faid%3D303948%3Blabel%3Dliverpool-0rpyaiDkeaugvFHMAyuGBAS4013685111%3Bsid%3Dec9e5e1cc606982e7856cc12cfabd157%3Bcity%3D-2601422%3Bclass_interval%3D1%3Bhoteltag%3D14%3Boffset%3D0%3Bss_all%3D0%3Bradius%3D0%3B&aid=303948&label=liverpool-0rpyaiDkeaugvFHMAyuGBAS4013685111&sid=ec9e5e1cc606982e7856cc12cfabd157&si=ai%2Cco%2Cci%2Cre%2Cdi&ss=Liverpool&radius=&checkin_monthday=0&checkin_year_month=0&checkout_monthday=0&checkout_year_month=0&idf=on
  9. They shouldn't have broken the rules, they must have known they were doing it so it's called cheating. Shame for the fans but I've no sympathy at all for the club.

    You Have To Laugh

Sort of. My brother phoned me last night and told me there was some new doubt over the source of the cloud that shut down Europe's air traffic. I bit. "Apparently someone's been cleaning out Everton's trophey cabinet."
  11. Pompey's appeal rejected... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8558580.stm Always likely....the FA couldn't run the risk of Liverpool not winning it and finishing seventh. If we'd been looking likely to get the place the appeal would probably have been accepted .
  12. Assuming he's already on £40,000 a week the increased contract would cost about an extra £3.5m over the next four years...£875,000 a year. If that's a "huge hole" in our transfer budget then God help us.
  13. You can take it back Mark . Because I separated out the polls this is a new one but I transferred the votes from the first one. The system doesn't know who made the transfered votes so it's possible to vote in this one as well.
  14. Our highest premier points total that season....65. Ten EUFA games and the run to the Carling Cup semi, although we did go out of the FA Cup to Oldham in the third round . Had an incredible Jan/Feb/early March. Forgetting the Chelsea semi we played fifteen, won twelve, drew two and lost just the one (Fiorentina away) in all comps .
  15. Redknapp chiming in now... http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2010/04/22/harry-redknapp-tips-everton-fc-manager-david-moyes-to-succeed-sir-alex-ferguson-at-manchester-united-92534-26293289/ What the f'ks it got to do with him ?
  16. I just hope Villa take it seriously this time. Would piss me off big time if O'Neill pulled the same crap as he did in Moscow two seasons back (again assuming we're not in it). Shouldn't enter if you're not willing to give it your best shot.
  17. They've not. "None times" you could say .
  18. Separated poll...hope you don't mind Ian. Have to trust those who've already voted in this in the original thread not to vote again....or if you do then vote for someone different....spread the love .
  19. Only chance now is Liverpool dropping six points (if we win our three), either three draws or a win and two losses. Long shot .
  20. Good luck....I see you're in at thirteen in the midweek chart update. YNWA is nowhere....not a chance of that happening surely?
  21. Liverpool have arrived in Madrid for Thursday's Europa League semi-final with Atletico Madrid after a 1200-mile journey by train, coach and plane. The squad left Runcorn railway station at 1304 BST on Tuesday, reaching Madrid airport more than 24 hours later. They eventually flew from Bordeaux after an overnight stop in Paris. "The trip has been a bit tortuous but the important thing is that we are here and we're in a good mood," said Benitez. Horrific. Plush coach to Runcorn....first class train to Euston...luxury coach (for about a minute) to King's Cross...Eurostar Leisure select (afternoon meal, 3 courses consisting of starter, light hot main course and pastries, with wine, water and soft drinks served at your seat, complimentary newspapers and magazines provided, as well as spacious reclining seats with generous legroom. Each seat benefits from either a slide-out table or a fixed table shared with adjacent passengers) to Paris. Night in a five star hotel, first class train to Bordeaux, flight (first class?) to Madrid. Just like being tortured in fact. They should try Ryanair next time....that truly is torture .
  22. They're after di Maria and Cardozo from Benfica as well according to this... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=774542&sec=transfers&cc=5739 "It is logical that a club like Manchester City have to be attentive to players with such potential...." Arrogant twat.
