  1. Opportunity missed big time .
  2. Keep it tight 'til half time....no stupid cards and we should have this.
  3. Looks like Arteta coming on.
  4. Liverpool: Reina, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Insua, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Gerrard, Maxi, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Aquilani, Riera, Aurelio, Babel, Degen, Skrtel. Everton: Howard, Neville, Distin, Heitinga, Baines, Fellaini, Donovan, Osman, Cahill, Pienaar, Saha. Subs: Nash, Bilyaletdinov, Arteta, Yakubu, Senderos, Anichebe, Coleman.
  5. You'd want one of these people to invest in Everton!? Hopefully if they'd sniffed they'd have been told to f'ck off sharpish. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8500609.stm
  6. I'd have Ossie in place of Arteta (because even if he's fit he won't be match fit), and I think DM will, but other than that it looks spot on to me.
  7. Only Hibbert, Yobo and Jags unavailable for tomorrow. Squad... Howard, Nash, Neville, Coleman, Heitinga, Senderos, Distin, Baines, Fellaini, Osman, Arteta, Rodwell, Pienaar, Bilyaletdinov, Donovan, Gosling, Cahill, Saha, Yakubu, Vaughan, Anichebe, Duffy, Baxter, Forshaw. It's hero time....and it could be any of them....the Goose proved that!
  8. So was John Paul Kissock . If we get one or two regular first-teamers out of this squad we'll be doing well .
  9. Thanks for that Noddy. Blackburn away next....they put out ManU 3-0 . Could be tough.
  10. Loved the semi-circles....unique. Anyone fooled by the cameras being on the "wrong" side of the ground . Wondered for a moment why we were warming up at the Park End .
  11. More than likely to be the truth imo. Makes sense.
  12. Was thinking this morning he must be in the running for it. Nice one .
  13. I think it was probably more than Smith's recommendation that led to Davey getting the job. Was widespread speculation, even getting as far as the CBBC website... "The person most likely to take over seems to be Preston North End boss David Moyes, who took the club to the division one play offs last season, and is hotly tipped to become a very successful manager in the future." http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/sport/newsid_1870000/1870925.stm Maybe Walter gave the benefit of his wisdom to a Blue Peter presenter on the quiet as well as BK? He self evidently does have the money to be where he is. It'd be nice if he had more admittedly. Lescott went for closer to £24m I thought. Stupid money, whoever negotiated it. I'm a Kenwright fan, always have been.
  14. He's not got a profile on the OS in either reserves or academy . Strange (or am I just having a senior moment ).
  15. On the Echo site... http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2010/02/05/david-prentice-time-for-leighton-baines-to-cross-the-england-bridge-plus-watch-alan-ball-beating-man-utd-100252-25766518/2/ Love Bally taking the ball of George Best's toes about 14'30" in...happy days .
  16. In The Post as well...much more believable. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2010/02/05/louis-saha-agrees-new-two-year-deal-at-everton-fc-92534-25767091/
  17. His brother's not talking to him because he scored against Arsenal so.. "...I am going to have to try to make it up to him." Tell him to f'king grow up more like....never heard anything so stupid.
  18. Into the quarter finals, and another penalty from Duffy . http://www.evertonfc.com/match/report/0910/preston-north-end-yth-v-everton-yth.html?t=2 We've got a shot at this with the likes of Duffy, Wallace, Baxter, Forshaw, Mustafi, Bidwell and Hope in the team I'd have thought.

    Dingbat Quiz

Got it . Nothing to do with that but here's a photo of my lad and his class on a trip to London a few years back....just feel the need to post it .
  20. Bit of a stretch to call him an Evertonian really....based on this I think..

    Dingbat Quiz

15's got me Beard . Think I've got the rest but I'm getting a blank on that.
  22. Looking like Ferrari could be the team to beat after the first three days testing....although Red Bull didn't take part. Sauber fast surprisingly, quicker than Mercedes and McLaren. Renault, Williams and Torro Rosso struggling. They say not to read too much into it but it was plain last year from the first test that Brawn were quick. Scoring system changing this year...25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1.
  23. Just as a point of interest, Liverpool TV is currently free-to-air (Sky 434). Watched "Kop Talkin'" yesterday, repeated tonight at 9.00, the last section of which is a one eyed discussion about the game. After that there's "Big Match Build Up" at 10.00. Guaranteed to ease the tension if you have a beer or two and hurl expletives at the screen . Worked for me yesterday anyway .
  24. Hey MWFtG, went to Brittany a long time ago but I know the Toulouse area really well...my brother lives there...was there last month . If you are planning a trip there let me know what sort of stuff you're interested in and I'll give you some pointers.
  25. That's a poser...given the choice would you take a League Title if it meant Armageddon was just around the corner . On balance I think I probably would....we'd be Champions for eternity, that'd take some beating .
