  1. Unless Delap gets injured....then they could be in trouble. It was enough to beat Villa though .
  2. Nothing new really, but... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4148420,00.html
  3. Having watched it on MOTD the Fuller decision was right, would have been pissed off if it was the other way round certainly but it was still the correct decision. How he can possibly have taken the linesman's view on the pen given their relative viewpoints is criminal though. Totally impossible for him to judge from the byline....Wiley needs dropping for that (and possibly the assistant also for voicing a worthless opinion).

    Hello

Wash your mouth out with Coyney . Welcome John.
  5. Just don't give them any more throw-ins....I'd rather they had corners!

  7. Those Delap throws are a powerful weapon .
  8. Plenty here, you should find one that works for you... http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports
  9. Bit surprised he's gone 4-4-2, probably wouldn't had Ossie been fit imo but it's great to have TC back.....and to have Jags back in the defence.
  10. Josh is watching the 2001/2 season review and I've just seen Scot Gemmill's goal against 'Boro at Goodison. What a screamer!
  11. Because no-one's ever come in for him with a better offer. When he wore his Everton shirt to training Who said you should worry? Your words....classic Freudian slip . See first answer. Don't know without looking it up but it's irrelevant. Oh....and finally... On 28 February 2008, Carragher was arrested and cautioned for assault outside a school near his home in Crosby. Liverpool F.C. refused to comment. In September, 2008, Carragher's biography was released with controversial excerpts being leaked to the press beforehand. In one instance, Carragher claimed that his close friends were looking to assault fellow Premiership player Lucas Neill but that the incident was averted only because Neill was in the company of David Thompson, one of Carragher's former teammates, who Carragher did not want to "become a witness to an assault". Carragher sent a text to Thompson "telling him Neill should give him a hug of thanks", suggesting had Thompson not been there, Neill would have faced an assault. In another portion of his biography, Carragher claimed he launched a deliberate hard tackle in a practice session against Liverpool teammate Rigobert Song because of the latter's perceived mockery of Carragher's defending. In another excerpt, Carragher asserts that his brothers have trouble finding employment in the city of Liverpool because of the number of foreign immigrants working in England, prompting claims of xenophobia. Frankly you can keep him .
  12. Study hard, drink in moderation and (at all costs) avoid loose women  .
  13. Not clutching at anything, don't give a flying f**k who the man swears undying allegiance to next, but you're seriously deluded if you think "learnt" loyalty will last .
  14. I'm not questioning the fact that it's been described as "mid-range," I'm just saying that it's a completely meaningless description unless you give it some sort of terms of reference.
  15. You didn't answer my question Louis (which was a serious one....wasn't being sarcastic), does the enquiry take other options into account? Also we keep coming back to this "mid-level" stadium argument, without any mention or reference point (as far as I've seen) as to how "mid-level" is defined. What's "high-level?" Wembley certainly, Old Trafford and the Emirates yes but after that? No point at all in us building a 75,000 capacity top of the range place because we'd not fill it. If "mid-range" means "mid quality" that's another thing but size isn't eveything....as my wife always assures me .
  16. Point well made. Can't imagine Abu Dhabi United, Abramovic or Liverpool or Unted's Yanks agreeing to meet the fans . And Louis, does the enquiry remit extend to the possibility of alternative sites? I'd have thought it would investigate purely and simply the merits of Kirkby ? If you apply for planning permission for a house they say "yes" or "no," not "why haven't you thought of building it somewhere else?"
  17. Mentioned it on here before but I was in the 1987 "hurricane" over the south east (LINK), although I slept through it (I was fairly heavily anaesthatised for most of that decade ). Remember the wind being very noisy before I went to bed but only knew something was up in the morning when I went into the toilet and found that the ceiling had completely fallen in, wind must have got in the attic somehow. Real devastation when I looked out of the window....walls and trees down everywhere....but even though it was the biggest storm in the UK for 300 years in global terms it was a tiddler.
  18. Ha....missed that Mark . Got another couple of tracks, Miles Davis & the Cool and Great Expectations. Like it a lot.
  19. This week's free itunes download is the best they've had for a long time imo. The '59 Sound by The Gaslight Anthem. Worth a listen.
  20. Your memory's playing tricks Jimmy....it was Clyde Best .
  21. They're just where we were thirty/forty/fifty years ago. It'll hopefully change but it'll take time, same as it did here (although we've still got a pretty hefty minority of morons who haven't got the excuse of ignorance).
  22. Flattering to deceive again I'm afraid. We'll likely make it to SA, probably come through the group as well and then play a blinder in the last sixteen. But, come the quarters.....or if they really feel like teasing us, the semis, we'll come up against Germany/Italy/Argentina/Brazil/Italy on a hot, humid evening and run out of steam like the unprepared Anglo Saxons that we are. "Bloody Hell" we'll say, "Fancy it being hot in Africa in July, we weren't ready for that! Next time eh?" Don't get sucked into hoping, I've been doing it since Mexico '70 and I'm not falling for it again <_< !
  23. Bloody Luddites ! If it wasn't for people going out on a limb (or a whim) and doing ridiculous and expensive and apparrently pointless experiments you'd not be sat at a keyboard discussiong the merits of the latest "folly" with (potentially) billions of other people in every corner of the globe.....and any number of other things would never have been invented/discovered. If it wasn't for people like this "wasting" gazillions over the Millennia we all still be sat in caves clubbing the womenfolk over their heads and dragging them home (by the hair) for a bit of ravishment. Short term gratification certainly, but there'd be no cigarette aferwards, tobacco never made it to Europe sadly . Go for it I say. Oh, and there's no possibility at all of it causing the end of the world.....I can say that with absolute certainty, because if I'm wrong nobody will ever know !
