  1. i'd like to see him go if only to weaken manu. but i dont think they can afford to sell him. van nistelroy is on his way out, presumably. so is ronaldo i guess. it would gut manu.
  2. what about van nistelroy? i think he's a possibility. unless a continental outfit want him.
  3. you can not use TV games to judge the side. not sure thats right. sometimes think you get a better overall view on tv than you do live. and the closeups and playbacks are fantastic.
  4. dont blame him. why would he want put up with abuse from a lot of braindead assholes?
  5. taking penalties is a skill. just like passing the ball, corners, throw ins, free kicks, heading etc. the only difference is that taking penalties is EASIER. like all footballing skills you practice them until you are good at them. look at the italians and the french in the final. after 120 minutes, NO PROBLEM. and thats the way penalties are taken by trained professionals. not the useless multi-millionaire wankers we employed for the job.
  6. quote=john_webby,Jul 9 2006, 10:47 AM] finally midfield over run with players (ok maybe not on the left) LM arteta/killa/mcfadden/VDM/neville (nev if were desperate) RM ossie/arteta/VDM/mcfadden/davies CM arteta/cahill/neville/davies/ossie/carsley so dont think we will be to shabby so should concede less and hopefully score more 37015[/snapback] yeah, the midfield is well populated. have to wonder why we bought so many when a striker was so obviously needed? carsley is good in midfield but will he get a game nowadays? weve gotta few youngsters in the first team squad now, like vaughn, anichebe, boyle and hughes. it will be interesting to see if they get much action.
  7. yeah. didnt he score tiwce against us last season.
  8. "Its not quality but pressure which plays a big role in taking penalties. You need to have the guts to take them and hope that they go in."... "taking a penalty is a lottery". ive never read so many pathetic excueses for these useless wankers (can i say wankers on tt?), they were crap. 'the pressure' thats a joke. these guys are trained to cope and perform under 'pressure'. they do it every week in the premiership! anyway, what pressure there is all on the goalie. as for taking a penalty being a lottery it isnt. its much easier. a decent player should have at least a 95% chance of scoring a penalty. whats his chances of winning a lottery? with these idiots, zero. they wouldnt be able to find a pen to fill in the form. thats if they could remember were they put the form!
  9. Everton website says, "Tim Howard joined Everton on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2006. The American international arrived from Manchester United, where he had found himself behind Dutchman Edwin van der Sar in the pecking order. He has, however, made 77 appearances for Alex Ferguson's men since joining in 2003. Before joining United, Howard had starred for the New York/New Jersey Metrostars, where he succeeded American international Tony Meola as first choice keeper. He received his first international cap in March 2002 agains Ecuador and as kept five clean sheets for the States. He goes to the 2006 World Cup in Germany as America's second choice stopper. Upon the confirmation of his move to Everton, Howard said he was more excited at joining the Toffees than when he arrived in Manchester. He will battle with Richard Wright, veteran Nigel Martyn and rookie Iain Turner for the goalkeeping gloves at Goodison Park." presumably Everton are aware that martyn has retired? so he's up against wright and turner. now wrights stats for last season were about the same as martyns, even tho he played fewer games! is howard the automatic first choice?
  10. pathetic is the polite term for that apalling mess in front of the portugal goal. these guys are paid millions and they can't even score a penalty. that display against portugal was simply a farce.
  11. for the last couple of seasons, even when we finished fourth i think, we had a negative goal difference. will aj and bt upfront, and lescott and howard at the back fix this embarrassing problem?
  12. looks like theres a lot of agreement in the starting lineup. no kilbane, no carsley, mcfadden, naysmith or stubbs!
  13. I hope those players arent in those positions ... no just the player i think may be chosen. i didnt put them in their positions.
  14. KEEP YOUR POSTS AND WE'LL SEE IF WE GET IT RIGHT!
  15. GOAL HOWARD DEFENDERS LESCOT – YOBO – HIBBERT – VALENTE MID-FIELD ARTETA – NEVILLE – CAHILL – DAVIES FORWARDS BT - AJ
  16. passed his best i suspect. championship for him now.
  17. yes. now that the world cup is virtually over, for england anyway, i think we will see a resumption of signings.

  19. My big sister gets married on September 9th Everton Vs Liverpool September 9th..... the sheer downright selfishness of some people is simply unbelievable.
  20. TOFFEES AND BRUM WANT NAMOUCHI - AGENT http://www.sportinglife.com/football/premi...MHD=premiership Rangers midfielder Hamed Namouchi is wanted by both Everton and Birmingham, according to his agent. The 22-year-old is now on holiday after representing Tunisia at the World Cup, where he is reported to have been watched by the Goodison Park club. And his representative, Teni Yerima, also claims Coca-Cola Championship side Birmingham have been tracking the player for the last two years. He told the Scottish Daily Express: "There are a couple of English clubs who are very interested in Hamed. "Everton like him a lot and they had him watched at the World Cup, while Birmingham City are also very keen on the player. "Birmingham have been tracking Hamed for almost two years now and, if Rangers were willing to sell, then they would definitely be interested. "It is all down to Rangers and whether or not they would be prepared to sell him."
  21. ye look how long it took benitez johl murhinio jewel yeah. sure and look at the money they had. in fact jewel hasnt done anything yet. one season hardly counts for anything. and mourinho! anyone could win the league with his budget!
  22. the cash came in handy and who knows, at the end of the day his leaving may have been the best thing he's ever done for Everton!
  23. Moyes is disliked by alot of Evertonians? theres always a few moaners who can't understand that it takes time to develop a top quality premiership team. especially these days and more so if you are working on a tight budget. they also dont understand that mistakes are unavoidable. every manager screws up from the top down. but some clubs can afford the ballsups more than others. he's been criticised because some of his transfer decisions havent worked out. but that happens to all clubs. look at ferguson. the idiot sold beckham to real madrid because fergie is a dinosaur who didnt grasp what his commercial potential was worth to the club. real madrid claimed to have recovered the transfer fee in a matter of weeks thru sponsorship deals. arsene wenger has made a few ballsups and he is truly a management genius. also moysey has been on a learning curve. this is his first premiership club. he's now got to grips with it a lot better and i believe he has the potential to be a top manager.
