  1. Never want to see anyone injured but we are going to be much better without Gray. Not for the season of course, he has contributed a lot but just now rather than cross hit he farted about and it ended up back with CB via Gomes.
  2. Gordon looks amazing and gomes/allan composed (eventually). Mina is a liability so far and Gray is doing his best "fancy pants" impression and looks shit.
  3. Absolutely agree on the fingers burned comment. More times than not it has to be said. At least this time we didn't spend 40-50M and top wages and long contracts. onwards and upwards like you say.
  4. So you don't like this deal and you don't like the Delli alli deal...can you share what deal and for who, you would you have done this window to try and keep us up?
  5. You're not the one whose confused. Spurs can't take him back he's our player. We are in total control of the finances on this one. If he plays shit, we stop playing him until we find a BUYER...and we don't pay another penny. If he plays out of this world then we have a business decision...are those results worth £10m, £20M then okay let's keep on playing him. Pretty sure if he scores the goals to keep us in the prem we won't mind the £10M for 20 appearances.
  6. And it's tied to the same length as the manager. Could be smart based on how we have churned over managers. We will sign players some of the new buys on the same length of contract.
  7. Someone replied to that tweet with the fact that Myolenko will be coached by Baines and Cole....if he can't cut it with those 2 training them god knows.
  8. Because it's a lay away plan. Zero down and £10M-£40M in the future. If any one else is available for that deal this year, I am sure we would be listening.
  9. No it's 20 games full stop but he won't breach that mark this year so we won't have to pay it until next year. We will pay for it with all the wages we save (Gylfi, Cenk etc)
  10. Depending on how the £40M is structured, I think basically it's a 6 month loan without being a loan. We would need to sell him or let him rot.
  11. Get John Terry in (even though he is a complete T**T). He can teach them how to defend set pieces.
  12. "For too long, the Toffees have been happy to look on their doorstep for signings, rather than venturing out into Europe for value. Signings such as Yannick Bolasie, Alex Iwobi and Gylfi Sigurdsson suggests there was a lack of clever scouting going on at Goodison Park." Pretty much sums it up!
  13. He was excellent when Ajax got the champions league final (or semi) a few years back. De Legit and Frankie DeJong got big moves but I think this lad stayed one more year. Can't talk about how he's done in prem but doesn't seem like she had a chance..could be another Klassen I suppose.
  14. Doesn't seem to say demanded here. I think this is more likely. A key interview question from the club would have been about the window - assessing whether the candidates had a form plan. Lampard would've given a few names.
  15. It's not illegal if it is in the code of conduct. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/chelsea-fine-list-photograph-late-training-a9200861.html?amp plenot of example of fines for conduct. Kane was fined for missing training.
  16. Jody F***ing Morris….oh well I can’t have nice things I guess.
  17. Who was Frank’s crew when he was at Derby and Chelsea….just wondering if Dunc/Baines etc are going to be kept around (would be stupid not to)
  18. Tick tock. Surprised some of the more reliable in the knows aren't reporting.
  19. My big concern is that Moshri is just using this latest development as a way of saying "I didn't knee jerk. We had a deliberate process which involved a thorough review of several candidates and we have decided the best path forward for our beloved club"....Welcome Vitor.
  20. Lamps did an excellent job with Chelsea under similar financial constraints to the ones here. He was not so good when forced to integrate a load of superstars that he didn’t necessarily choose. He was the catalyst behind Mason Mount (at derby then Chelsea). He got to a cup final and finished 4th in the league. Yes Tuchel came in a did much better….but I am not saying Lampard is the best manager in the world. He knows his reputation is at stake….screw up here and that’s a massive stain right on the back of how it ended at Chelsea….the major downside is he has never been in a relegation scrap (even as a West Ham player)…but then again Vitor P has been and he fucked it up.
  21. Personally I'd be over the moon. Yes he doesn't have a long track record but as highlighted above he has a lot of positives (notably working with youth). His PL experience can't be understated and if we can somehow get out of this mess this year we could have someone for the longer term rather than just a stop gap. Time will tell of course, but I'm happy with it.
