  1. Interesting to see how this jives with Brands. Not disagreeing with your observation at all, just will be interesting to see how this evolves.
  2. I like it particularly the yellow trim. I also agree with Matt on the the players modeling them esp James. Surely the club would have some sense of his future before deciding to put him front and center of a marketing plan (maybe that is my heart ruling the head)
  3. Agreed. That said, was that not the first of two instances....so while he apologized he went on to make a similar mistake (Distribution related). I could be wrong and the one he apologized for was the 2nd instance.
  4. He was heavily present on the Rafa first interview vid also. On the training ground photo shoot.
  5. PSG seem to be on the sniff for anyone who is free this season. I can't remember all the names (Donnarumma etc). They've had zero outlay on players this year, time they ponied up.....or give us Gana back (sorry couldn't resist)
  6. Couldn't agree more with the sentiment here. That is good money for who he looks like he will end up being. Time may prove us wrong but I feel he has found his level.
  7. Get rid I say. He has not actually proven very much apart from that he can thrive in a sub standard league. Even his international performances are nothing really to write home about.
  8. Not thrilled about the appointmen but I honestly think he will do well....though we have a low bar to clear thanks to last year. I don't think it is going to be anywhere near the shit show that was Allardyce (playing style or personality style) Frankly most of us have had blue tinted glasses on at one time or another in the past 5 years relative to our managerial appointments. We were convinced one or more of those appointments were exactly what we needed at that time (and who can blame us). So for me a muted response this time is a refreshing change. Let's have the results do the talking (one way or the other) I don't read too much into the interview. The club will have thought about "landmine questions" and said we have to be seen to ask you about these 5-6 things and answers will have been thought about in advance. Like I've said in a prior post I am interested in our squad activity this year. It's not about splashing the cash as that hasn't worked in the past but I could see Moshri feeling the need to go big and make some investments - not a one player splash but really backing (his) manager (and screw FPP - slap on the wrist for first time offender)
  9. "One option is Ferguson does the fixtures in his office and lets us know". Hilarious.
  10. LOL..I didn't realize it was that long....no not a pilot...though not sure of the connection. I'm in the banking industry.
  11. Was watching some of his highlights from last season...:the amount of time he shifted it to his left foot and sprayed the ball out to the left wing is unbelievable. Was incredibly accurate. In one clip there were 2 Everton players on the left (he was right wing half way line) the easy ball was to the player (Digne I think) just past the half way line but he played the more difficult ball to a more advanced player...that's the difference between slow build up and an incisive one.
  12. Hey everyone. First time poster (long time reader). I have to say I love checking in on the different opinions and debates (Lukaku was Cant put down material) but I thought the it was time to contribute. I'm English but been living in Philippines for the past 8 years. Bear with me while to get to grips with how the site works etc. like many I'm not enamoured with this whole Benitez situation but I'm also concerned about Moshri: we def need to build the squad in a different way to avoid these overpriced / bloated wage mercenaries....I just don't think he has the patience. Largely because we've already lost 5 years of the project. He doesn't seem like he wants to wait another 3 years and build from the bottom. the transfers this year will tell us more about the club than the managerial appointment (in my opinion any way).
  13. He sounded devastated to be fair - honestly, great manager for us but I don't think Moyes will be successful - not sure how he is going to manage the ego's - most of those players won't give 2 fecks what moyes has to say.
  14. The thing I hate the most is the fergie definitely tapped him up - over a glass of red wine, something like "don't be too hasty in signing a new contract, things might change around here sooner than you think" My vote for replacement is Laudrup...I could live with that.
