Personally, I would hope to overtake several teams, including West Ham, before the season ends. I realize that one swallow does not make a summer, but we're much too good a team to be this low in the table.
Congratulations to pete0 for predicting the correct score and one of the goalscorers (but not the first). For the month of March, it's now very close - with rusty747 currently in the lead. For the season, Romey has increased his lead. As for points per prediction, Deacs retains his lead despite scoring no points this time around. TonkaRoost has been quietly climbing the leader board.
Some idiot on the BBC website suggesting we didn't deserve to win. I didn't watch; however, reading comments, it's seems we were much the better team. You don't win 3-0 without deserving it.
From the BBC website:
Cameron Laws: "A lot of people forget Lukaku is still only 21 years old. His ability for that age is remarkable, he'll keep improving."
On to the Stoke match. Both chalkpie and rusty747 predicted the exact score: 2-0. This means that chalkpie has taken the lead for the month of March. Romey maintains a 4-point lead for the season, while Deacs has extended his lead for points per prediction.
Here are the results from the Arsenal game. Congratulations to Deacs and TonkaRoost for predicting the exact score. For the season, Romey is hanging on to his lead. For average points per game, though, Deacs is on a real tear right now. (Nice to have Patto joining in this time around.)
I've been there a couple of time on business, and I've always referred to it as Kyiv. That's the English equivalent of the Ukrainian spelling. Kiev is the anglicized version of the Russian spelling.
Spent two days in Britain this weekend (leave from Heathrow this morning), and it was like I never left: As in the 70s and 80s, all I read in the paper was about pitch invasions and fans throwing things. Well done Villa!
Not sure why one day under 18 is unacceptable and one day over is perfectly fine. Is there something particularly moral about an 18th birthday? Legally maybe, but otherwise?
He took advantage. He's supposed to be a role model- or at least that's how we used to view top players. He just lost any respect he may have had before.
Since I'm flying to Europe tomorrow and will be away for 8 days, I should make my prediction now for the Stoke game - just in case I can't gain access to the Internet. Apologies in advance if I'm unable to update the leader boards for a week or so.
Stoke 0-0 Everton
