  1. That was due to moyes ineptitude in my opinion. He waited too long and their board took too long and had to pay full price for fellaini regardless. I guarantee we won't be getting 50m plus for him.
  2. as an evertonian they'll always be considered a non-league team to me, not even fit to play in the pub leagues, but i can't deny the talent they have.
  3. yeah i saw this on sky and starting weeping moreno and sakho would be the weakness i would hope we attack.
  4. wow, guess well be seeing benteke at anfield this year then.
  5. exactly. we may think he's worth 60m, but the board doesn't have the testicular fortitude to hold out for that much.
  6. why? you think he could make the demand and his resume and body of work would warrant the board giving in to his demands?
  7. my post made sense! even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while
  8. to be or not to be, that is the question.... lol If I was RM, I'd tell the board "sell him and I leave." you highlighted that. i was expressing that if he did do that it wouldn't matter, because he doesn't have the resume to make those demands and if he did leave he would void another 4 years in payments he is contracted to receive whether he is still with us or is let go. he would be MAD to make a demand like that.
  9. sorry matt losing my mind, all the transfers are blurring together and i'm confusing this with someone else. what i meant to say was that he's probably leaving now that liverpool has activated the benteke release clause. previously he heard sherwood say beneteke's not going anywhere so he pledged his allegiance. but now he's off.+
  10. yeah it's comical. i'm thinking maybe he wanted to do right by villa so he signed a bigger deal with a hefty buyout clause to helpout villa, and just laid low for a week and now the real transfer is on. that or the lad is bi-polar
  11. In addition to this mike, i would think the board wouldn't be arsed. if he resigned his salary would be off the books and they wouldn't be on the hook. obviously they'd like to keep him and hope he replicates the first season's success, but i don't think that tactic would be as beneficial with this club as it would elsewhere. no knock on us, but he doesn't have the resume/experience to be pulling that move at this stage of his career.
  12. Currently putting us at 11. If no one else comes in I wouldn't be surprised with 15th next canpaign
  13. Yes and amen. The funny thing is that now that kitbag have shown this can be done, it shows just how little they've supported us. Could have had this at all the Europa matches.
  14. I agree, but it's not as offensive as the man united 20m for fellaini and baines.
  15. Great starting point for the bidding though. Shows how high they value him to start that high. Love stones but he's not an evertonian, from Barnsley and who knows where before that, I could see him going and accepting a move once the money starts getting higher.
  16. i miss the matches, i don't miss the feeling afterwards
  17. http://www.espnfc.us/fifa-world-cup/story/2524589/fifa-official-extradited-to-united-states extraditions have begun
  18. vidal to bayern gathering steam. it would sure help to lessen the blow of schweini leaving. read today it's between 30m and 45m for fee, or it might be a swap and cash with gotze heading to juve. he's really fallen off after that WC winner.
  19. yes i've no issue with them joining the coaching staff. a coach/player role for ossie would be fine too. once they leave who will be the vet that's been at everton all the time? ross barkley? i don't think it's possible to always have that person on your squad. its' nice now, but won't be end of the world when we don't have one there, that's all i'm saying.
  20. we will. barry, jags, plus by then naisy will be labeled veteran, same with mirallas if he stays, we will have plenty of 30+ players. now we have too many.
  21. Yes matt i love osman. Great player and teammate and all that. no argument there. i just believe we need younger players. doesn't seem to hinder southampton.
  22. agreed. he can go to a newly promoted team for a year. we need younger and better players. i don't want another hibbert situation here.
  23. yes that makes sense, I'm just speaking of the time we've had him. You wonder if this is something he can correct, like turning it down 5 Mph and trying to use his vision and positioning better to snuff out attacks instead of throwing tackles and the like. Could be way off there but I'm worried it will be a repeat of last season where he was never fully fit after that injury.
