  1. I wouldn't get away with going myself without taking her occasionally mate!
  2. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, me too! http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/02/09/article-1249737-08383F0F000005DC-911_233x377.jpg
  3. His problem is a lack of consistency at the moment, the Chelsea game only highlighted that, some sublime footwork at times to elude tackles but took the worst corner of the season at another! I want him to succeed because when he does the good stuff he can make the opposition look like rank amateurs. I don't think he suits the wide role though as he (still) seems to lack enough pace.
  4. Hard one to call really, everyone put in a shift although 2 or 3 did frustrate at times, narrowed my options down after a some thought and gave the nod to Heitinga although he was run very close by Saha, Donovan & Cahill
  5. Have to agree with Romeys analysis, pretty much spot on as usual, and I will happily eat my portion of the humble pie on offer Travelled up with a mix of Blues of both persuasions on the train and almost everyone was of the same opinion though. The one person the Chelsea boys were nervous of was a certain Mr. Saha and with bloody good reason as it turned out! LD, TC, Heitinga & Louis stood out most for me, Bily, Ossie and Pip (In that order) were the most frustrating. Thought the crowd was pretty good, quiet at first, but then there wasn't a great deal to shout about to begin with, but the old lady was rocking at the end! Dishonourable mention goes to the knob who knocked my Mrs. flying in Goodison road pre-match, didn't even have the courtesy to stop and apologise, and left her with a twisted ankle and several bruises.
  6. Congratulations to all TT, life will certainly be different for you from now on!
  7. Rare home game for me too, was confident when I booked train/hotel weeks ago but it's fair to say I'm not getting goods vibes now! Fingers are firmly crossed, but I think a draw is possibly the best we can realistically expect. (On a side note if anyone fancies meeting for a swift one or three pre/post match then pm me)
  8. Heitinga, but Felli was looking favourite and I would probably have given it to him if he had not had to go off.
  9. Ah the joys of selection headaches, not something an Everton manager has had for years except through lack of players! IF it was me, and based on the little I have seen so far, then I would be choosing Coleman as 1st choice rb simply because he offers the team more in attacking options than Pip or Tony whilst still being good defensively. Quite what to do with midfield in that case is where the real headache starts, I realise that DM would not want to drop Pip altogether but perhaps some rotation in the defensive mid role may be the answer. (If it was me personally then Pip would be on the bench barring injuries)
  10. I'm still pissed off with Birmingham performance but we have at least got back to winning ways albeit against poorer opposition. That lot are certainly not at their best either, and hopefully our players will still be smarting from their win over us at GP and will be really fired up for this. Hopefully we will get a sensible ref (card wise) who will let the game flow as much as possible, feel we can win this though 2-0
  11. From the little I've seen so far your English is fine, welcome to our growing international community.

    Birmingham (home)

Play anything like we have in the last 2 games and the Brummies are definately out! 3-1
  16. There will always be a home team on paper so that set of fans get their seats, the other teams fans will be in the away section.
  17. Anyone even thinking of voting for anybody except Fellaini needs their head examined! EVERYONE played their part in that match, one of the best overall perforformances I have seen for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time, but Felli still managed to stand out.
  18. Yes, all teams (in the Prem at least) do every season now and have done so for some time, there is no reason to think that things are going to change!

  21. Not at all mate, as I said it is generally accepted in quizzes, wasn't intended as a point, just a bit of general info As to quizzing, I used to do a lot of league quizzing before I moved to where I live now, and I am sort of barred from the quiz machine in my local!
  22. Quite enjoyed that one Bill, enough old stuff for those of us that remember when TV was in black & white! Out of interest, re Conan Doyle, there is a pub in Pompey with loads of stuff about him all over the walls. It was reading this info whilst enljoying a leisurely pint or three that I came across the football connection. The team he played for was an amateur team that went of existence some years before the present day Portsmouth FC were formed, but as they had the city name (They were called something like Portsmouth Amateur Football Club) over time it became accepted (for quiz purposes at least!)that he played for Portsmouth.
