Not sure if this has been put else where, but our first 5 games are Bournemouth h, Fulham a, Leeds h, Brentford a, and Palace h, then we have a trip away to Arsenal away for the 6 game. I would expect a minimum 11 points from the first 5 games, easiest start to a season you could wish for.
Fake fixtures ?

My issue is signing both him and Coady. That’s overkill on shoring us up defensively and will go too far that way. I also don’t like the thought of paying any sort of money for Coady tbh, he’s not that good a defender at all and it ties us to the shitty 5 at the back which, again, screams defensive football all season.
Like I’ve said, I’m not going to worry about it just now but if we don’t bring in attacking players as well then I don’t hold out much hope for this season at all. It’ll be a slog again.
Agree can’t stand Coady and he’s not that good either.

Good luck JonJoe.

Based on what?
As it turned out he was offered an extension not a new contract I believe he was only on 20k

Exactly this looks a good player but doesn’t score enough to cost 50m

Good luck to him. Could've just taken a wage but wants to play, gotta respect that.
Wage probably wasn’t enough

Of course there are but that doesn't mean you stop being concerned about lesser things; people are rightly worried about Ukraine but we don't all go round thinking of nothing else all day.
Neither do I

What on earth has Ukraine war got to do with people being disappointed that club have a online gambling and cryptocurrency broker?
Gambling is not a healthy habit, like junk food, alcohol or even vaping or smoking - they can be dangerous. Now as a club we are actively promoting it, simply because it brings in an extra £4-5M. Like many have pointed out - the kids who support the club just can't have the same kits this year as their players.
Government currently looking in to banning this type of sponsorship and rightly so - It's not illegal -yet, because essentially it not really right otherwise these conversations would not be happening.
I definitely made it worse making a point of no longer being sponsor by SportPesa.
I know the vast majority of us will not go straight to Stake.com and start betting - but some might have a mooch on to the sites and have a dabble and the club is normalising gambling and particularly online gambling as essentially a healthy past time.
The advertising must work otherwise they would not be paying Everton a handsome £10M a year to be on the front of our shirt. Their money is purely made back through encouraging peoples gambling habits.
Its not great this controversial news being announced less than 24hrs after Moshiri's statement about mistakes being made etc - todays news just make me think blah, blah, blah as many still don't really get this club and its supporters.
I realise its a lot easier to be moral when you can afford to, and we are very much on our arses big time at the moment - so maybe a few have just put their heads down and looked a bit sheepish while the cheque was being signed. I get it. lets hope this extra £5m or so make a difference next season for us and does allow us as a club to be a little more moral in better times.
What I’m trying to say is there’s more important things to be concerned about than shirt sponsorship.
-
I go to every home game and I can honestly say I’ve never once noticed a sponsor on the opposite teams shirt I’m there for the football not to look at the other teams sponsor.

The author Sam stone had a downer on getting tarkowski… he’s calling it bad business cos he’s 29 and it’s a 4 year deal.
it’s no way bad business…. He held all the cards, let’s say a 3 year deal was the most sensible, are we gonna lose out on a £40m centre half for nothing over an extra £5m in wages when in all honesty he will likely be a good option at 33? Fuckin crazy.
it’s pure snobbery, the lad defends - he wins headers, he puts his body in the way of shots, he tackles hard. But yeah let’s get upset cos we don’t spend £30m like Villa on a player unproven in the prem who is similar age.
I heard it was a 3 year deal with Everton having the option for an extra year if that's true it's an excellent deal.

There's thousands getting killed in the Ukraine and we are slagging our team off for being sponsored by a gambling company we are in a mess financially.
do people actually think if we weren't it would make a difference to people's gambling habits.

The fact is, some fans would sooner sign a player who had a bit more supposed pedigree than a player who actually has good stats and defensive ability.
I watched a lot of him in the run in, he pisses all over our current defenders.
I don't think they'll like that
-
Zinchenko is decent but I wouldn’t want to spend big money on him he’s to left footed gets caught in possession quite often.
he may have looked good agains Scotland and Wales but to be fair they aren’t very good teams. -

They will have to pay quite a bit for him, no European football next season so if he moves its for money.
What do you think is a realistic fee for him I think we need at least 60 million.

So, we're playing Monopoly?! Tarkowski is a Northumberland Avenue type player at best. VVD more Regent Street. I would take VVD at 30 if he was available.
Tarkowski at 29, meh, I would rather look for someone else.
Are you restricting me to free transfers of can we sell to buy?
If Frank rates Tarkowski and he comes through the door, both would have my full support. I hope Tarkowski (and you) make me see sense. Richard Gough was about 90 when he joined and he was good!
VVD is on 11m a year and a year older that’s 33m and he cost 75m you can’t even think James T is a bad deal your looking at 18m over 3 yrs that’s tops
-
Looks like James T is ours let’s not worry about his wages we paid 12m for Williams and he was terrible we paid 18m for Mina plus 6m a year wages so let’s not look for problems with a free transfer a 3yr deal with an option sounds good to me.

Honestly, I'd rather plan for the future with someone like Harry Souttar - a younger player who deserves to step up to the Premier League.
Why does he deserve to step up have you been watching him play.

It was a horrible situation to be in.
The only danger to the stadium is being able to get the materials there is shortages worldwide and think it will probably get worse.

torn on that one, I was definitely shouting for the sending off at the time!
But I'd say that at 7 times out of 10 a card wouldn't be given for that challenge.
As both the players had their arm around him anyway it could have gone against either (or both) players. It is one of those that the ref is often happy to cop out on when it comes to a second yellow but I don't think a ref giving a penalty to us but not sending the player off can go down as the ref hating Everton!
It’s not just 1 referee it’s most of them since Everton told them the referees can’t stay behind after games I didn’t realise they also get tickets for family members since then the decisions have mainly gone against us that decision by Everton was as far as I know was first implemented the game Allan was sent off for an innocuous tackle I’ve seen similar tackles since not even get a yellow.

I’m sure the 2 players who’s families were racially abused will fancy giving Leeds a free route if we need to get something at arsenal.
Brentford hate Leeds so I don’t think they will just let them win it stems from the championship when Leeds called them a little team when both competing for the premier league
