Out of interest it seems he may be out of contract in 2015, judging by his signing of a 4 year extension in 2011 (Wikipedia)
-
Because he's usually injured. The only times he was ever linked to other teams, the price named was always ridiculously low (2m-5m). Even though he's a decent footballer, that is the normal law of football economics. He's not a starting player and usually injured.
If he has ever been linked to a transfer in the last 4 years and quoted at £2 to 5m, then that story was also bollocks
-
I think he's going to be very cheap tbh.
Out of interest, what makes you think that? Is he coming to the final year of his contract or something? Even if he is then he would still command a decent fee. Has his lack of playing time for arsenal affected his starting position for his country? If not then he'll also have a World Cup in which to showcase himself to potential suitors
-
A strong argument to be made that we've got the best full back pairing in world football right now, which is pretty awesome
-
Haven't the article but I imagine this is bollocks. They'll want at least £10-12m I would think, plus his wages will be pretty high. And he's 28 so before you know it he's over 30, and he's also had some injury problems in the past. I'd be amazed if Roberto even considers for a split second blowing half his budget on a position that isn't a priority at all and is pretty well covered

This is from a few weeks ago but at that time he said he hopes to be involved in the last 4 games of the season. Also he has a lot of praise for Roberto, resckons he's the best manager in the PL, also thinks champions league will be achieved next year if not this year

Sunderland 1 - 3 Everton
McGeady (due a start)

Wow didn't expect that! Very interesting, it sounds like he's been planning this a while. So if Barry does sign it would be a 2 year contract anyway probably, due to his age, with Baines phasing into his new position gradually during that second season? Or alternatively do we think Barry might not sign now, and Roberto might go with this from next season onwards, Brian playing left back??
-
I would also say go for it if the chance is there, but I agree with an earlier comment that I wonder what his attitude will be like if champions league isn't regularly achieved....

In my first month with fibre I used about 350 gb, down and up.
From 1st to 3rd April I have used 26.99 gb - so averaging 9gb per day for this month, lol.
Even I don't stream THAT much porn! Haha

Am I right in thinking that the loan fee will be waived as he's featured in 50% of games? Assuming they count sub appearances as well as starts of course. That would be an even better bit of business in that case
-
I think stones will play but if Roberto plays jags there will be no finger pointing from me if we get beat.
Yeah I agree. In a way they both deserve to play, as does Distin, so it's a bit of a dilemma for Roberto as there are pros and cons for both Jags and Stones. Whoever he picks will be there on merit

It's not possible for us to get 4th unless arsenal collapse
Sorry to be pedantic but arsenal don't need to collapse for us to finish 4th. If we win all our remaining games we finish at least 4th. So arsenal could win all of theirs except their trip to Goodson, and still finish below us. That wouldn't be a collapse
Not saying it will happen, but can always hope

Didnt realise Mutch was so young. He is one of 3 Cardiff players Id steal
The other two: Caulker, and.... ?

I'd be quite happy with just that in Roberto's first season.
Me too. Still hopeful of 5 wins though to smash it
-
true but if he was spiteful he'd send him to espanyol or something, not us. i just don't like that roberto to barca is so common and tossed about. i was fine with the arsenal one, but not barca.
Barca wouldn't consider him yet anyway I don't think, too soon. Maybe if he'd been involved in their academy or coached their reserves / youth team, but he's spent as much of his life in Britain as he did in Spain. I don't think just being a Catalan and winning one FA cup is enough for that job just yet.

Sky Broadband, unlimited usage (I don't think there's a cap as the a 'on demand' thingy uses data to download shows so it would be quite a high usage each month). Can't remember what it costs, £7.50 I think on top of the Sky subscription. Speeds are 18 to 20 download and 1.1 to 1.2 upload, so quite lucky really to get that download speed on plain regular broadband

So is everyone now over their doubts about Hart? I can see him having a Green moment at the WC.
Realistically there hasn't been any other options that would be better anyway. Yeah I can see a blunder coming too, but all things considered he's still a good keeper
-
Either a dull 1-1 De Gea saving loads, or they'll get bummed with Bayern scoring about 4 or 5 goals. Last two good teams to play at OT both won 3-0, and Bayern are a class above...

I'm not sure Martino will appreciate Gerry implying that he's a goner when his contract is up in 12 months haha. Could work in our favour though and Martino might send him out on loan again as punishment for pimping his job to Martinez
-
Unbelievably, I think Sterling would be a better option.
Hart
Johnson Jagielka Cahill Baines
Gerrard
Sterling Barkley Lallana
Sturridge Rooney
On current form this would be my 11 as well. Possibly a bit exposed defensively with only Gerrard in front of the back 4.... but no guts no glory!

He'll be off back to Germany unless someone is going to offer him first team football, not rotation. Probably would have gone to the World Cup if he hadn't left the Bundesliga, was pretty highly rated before his move to Spurs. and I'm sure he still is rated back home
