He is undoubtably one of the better players at the club. However, it’s clear that he nor Benitez no longer wish to work together. At the age of 29 if we can command a fee over £20m right now it’s probably a no brainier as I’d suspect he’ll be on over £100k per week. He’s also unlikely to play under Benitez again. With regret it’s probably best for both parties now. He will flourish at another club though. Certainly CL ability.
