  1. If it doesn't work out at least we have a bit of money to shop around. Personally I'd like Dzeko if Lukaku doesn't come off. The problem we have is wage demands if we want a real top end goal scorer we have to raise the wage cap to around 100k per week!
  2. Coleman is 25, I don't think that's a young player. Hands down Barkley potentially Stones
  3. I think Mcgeady at the moment should only be used as an impact player. If Barkley is out I suspect either Naismith or Osman to play in behind.
  4. You're presuming they'll not drop any points. We'll drop points but I also expect them to. Being realistic the run in does favour them. But they're not in good form and have dropped points against lesser teams this season. It's not over. However I do agree that it's going to be tough for us!
  5. Not worried about City. A win against them is a bonus, it's the other 6 especially against the lesser teams we need to take maximum points from.
  6. Last two games he's been brilliant. Before the injury brilliant. He's a game changer and puts fear in the opposition, direct and fearless. I think he'll be a major part of the challenge.
  7. Don't get me wrong. I think Jagielka is a great defender but at this present time I think Stones is more than worthy of keeping his place. He doesn't play like an inexperienced 19 year old. His confidence on the ball is reminiscent of a young Rio Ferdinand. He's hasn't put a foot wrong at centre half this season, making up for slight mistakes with recovering challenges. I rate him very very highly.
  8. Got the nieces christening so I can't make this one! Absolutely gutted. Just put my ticket on stubhub. Anyway my team would be! Howard Coleman Stones Distin Baines McCarthy Barry Deulofeu Barkley Mirallas Lukaku
  9. Very affective against Guardiola teams. Draw them in... Counter attack.
  10. Might be wrong but probably going to be the highest combined points tally of the top 4 teams in PL history IMO and one of the lowest survival tallys. Shows that there is a gulf in class from top to bottom this season. Wouldn't read too much into our final points.
  11. ..... My view has nothing to do with relegation and I haven't mentioned it. I don't think any of them are good enough for us.
  12. Strange team that. Rodriguez? Lallana is more natural out wide than Barkley. Hart Walker Jagielka Cahill Baines Gerrard Oxlade Barkley Townsend Rooney Sturridge
  13. Wouldn't have any of Cardiffs players.... Potential to be Champions League standard? None bar Zaha who isn't their player.
  14. That's worse than the Newcastle one! Absolute DRIVEL!
  15. Always rated him as a decent squad player. I saw a lot of him for Rangers and always knew he was playing out of position and that he was a better player than being reflected. In his new role he's surpassed that for me. I think he's a very important squad member. A real grafter!
  16. Would be nice if the Naismith thread wasn't hijacked
  17. Pretty much bang on comparison to Cahill. Similar types of players in terms of what they offer! Finally given the opportunity in that role and he's blossomed. Funnily enough on his pre season debut he scored a hatrick in that position. Moyes was an absolute cart playing him out wide religiously when we had Jelavic firing blanks!
  18. I'll I'll 5th Ki. Thought he was excellent against us. Slowed the game right down. Very comfortable on the ball
