I'll always point out the bad games Barkley has, i've been fairly critical of him a few times this season but like i said earlier, he still showed glimpses of what he can do. As for Stones, i cant remember him having that bad a game in all honesty? apart from the Derby at Anfield where he was played out of position and the whole team was dyer.

I agree the critisism of Lukaku is a bit harsh considering his record but i think the frustration with him is that he is a good player but if he just had that better touch and technique he would be unstoppable, too many times we see him lose the ball by getting it stuck between his feet or the ball just bouncing off him. But like you say, he's still developing.

Personally, i've just not seen enough of Gerry to think he will be anything special. He's showed snippets of good play but overall i've been very underwhelmed by most of his performances. I understand that he is also still young and developing but he hasnt shown enough for me.

I think Barkley gets away with alot more because he's a local lad and everyone is hoping he's going to be our best CM for a long time to come, which I totally understand. Stones hasn't really had a bad performance as you said apart from the Derby, but he has made a few mistakes which haven't been punished, probably why no ones mentioned it.

I don't ever think Lukaku will get 30 odd goals a season but I do think he will be in double figures most seasons barring injuries and depending on how good a season the wingers have in whichever team he plays for he could get close to mid 20s.

I think Gerry has got everything he needs to be a good winger, he just needs it to click into place. I think it will be when he's about 23/24 he will hit his prime. I could be wrong as i'm not exactly a scout or anything but I think he's too good to fall away into an average player.

  2. I don't understand how people can be so harsh on Gerry and Lukaku yet when Stones makes a mistake (Not that it happens often to be fair) or Barkley has a bad game its just not seen, fair enough his decision making has been poor at times, but none of our wingers have been consistent all season. Gerry only plays in fits and spells as well, I think he's going to be brilliant in a few seasons. As for Lukaku not being good enough he's scored 13 league goals which isn't bad for a young developing striker.

  3. I hope we beat City cos we do still have a small chance of finishing 4th, but fucking be arsed with all the gobshite reds that have all of a sudden appeared from out the woodwork and would go to every game but can't get a ticket 'because of that waiting list'!! Ideally we beat City, Palace beat them.

  4. May I suggest The Waterfront on William Street as an alternative, that's a short distance from the Saint Mary's stadia or The Admiral Lucius down in the ocean village, that while a greater distance than the other, is highly recommended.

The Standing Order Bar (off High Street) is another establishment to explore, but in general, there's not an awful lot of drinking outlets in the immediate vicinity of the ground.

As an alternative, instead of spending the pre-match time with alcohol intake, take the opportunity to look around the city and take in sights such as the Titanic memorial, Millais Gallery or the vibrancy and sights of the ports and harbor if you can find time.

    :dont know:

  5. I remember him going on quite a few mazy runs last year into the box

For Barkleys first full season, Im very happy. Some seem to think that youngsters have to come in and be flawless, but until theyre 23-25 they are always going to make mistakes and have a lot of learning to do. Coleman has been performing like this for 2-3 years now, just not consistently. Hes had to have the rough patches, make the mistakes and has shown that by coming of age this year. I think he, Ross, Lukaku, McCarthy and Gerry are all in for incredible futures

Yeah I agree mate, youngsters need to make mistakes to develop.

  6. Good question! Barkley probably, or Stones but now you mention it, maybe Stevie deserves the plaudits for most improved.

I dont think Coleman has evolved massively this season. I know he has scored more, but hes doing the same of what he did in the previous season, just with more result. Thats evolution for sure, but not massive.

Can't remember him making Santi Cazorla look like a cunt last season?! Haha!

Agree with Barkley, sometimes he's looked unplayable this season, be brilliant if he can keep it consistent next season.

  7.

how can coleman be a find when he's been player of the season before? not quite finding him when he's already been superb.

He's hit a new level this season though under Martinez, Naismith was already scoring goals against teams before this season, Liverpool in the 2-2 draw and Chelsea last game of the season. But again he's improved, Stones is obviously the main find of the season due to noone knowing he was actually that good beforehand, I only mentioned Coleman because of how much he has improved.
