As a lone striker you expect more goals for a team that finishes in the top 6 IMO, last season Berbatov, Lambert, Michu, Benteke scored 15+ playing as lone striker.

Fellaini scored 11 goals from attacking mid last year. All I am saying is that 15 goals isn't a massive landmark for a striker especially when the team scored their highest premier league points total.

He did well - don't think i'm slating him but he is being vastly over rated and people are using age and 15 goals as some sort of justification. We are talking about Everton spending £20m on a player who has a fair few flaws here.

Do you not think a reason why we finished on our highest points total was due to us having a 15 goal striker though?

Age is a massive factor in the price of him, the fact he is young and can get you them goals is why he is rated as £20 million.

If it was on loan or for a cheap fee, I would give him a try. We lack strikers, any reinforcements would be positive. (I wouldn't spend more than 2mill on him though, I believe Everton should build on other type of players)

He's a natural goalscorer playing 1) the wrong system 2) with his confidence destroyed 3) in a team in shambles and 4) with constant managerial changes. Lamela is quite talented too and he barely played at all. Are they worth those massive transfer fees? Probably not. Are they good players? Surely they are.

Agree on Lamela, he looked a great player before they signed him, he didn't really get a chance what with Townsend coming through. Soldado just looked massively lost, he could be another Forlan, will move abroad and become a world beater again.

  3. We don't need loads of money, how good is that our defence cost next to fuck all yet its up there with the best in the country, if not Europe.

All the players we've sold over recent seasons we haven't missed in the long run, I think having loads of money sometimes hinders a team more than you would think, look at Spurs last season, they had that much money they just went an bought any player that looked half decent, ultimately it cost them as they should have been competing for the league after spending that much really.

  4. If we do this again next season, how about I find a sponsor willing to provide a prize for the season winner? Would this spice things up a bit?

Yeah mate good idea, I'm going to try an remember to put a prediction in for every game next season, kept forgetting! The goalscorer points is another good idea as well Steve... God you're just full of good ideas

  5. Surprised we didn't sort this out before the end of the season, his experience is invaluable for any youngsters coming through. We would have easily got 25-30 games a season out of him once we bought an extra midfielder in summer as well.

I think he'll end up somewhere else now. Hope i'm wrong.

  6. Originally I wanted us to win, but fuck it, I hope we lose 31-0! The redshite knobhead fans (the minority always are the loudest) do my head in, seen it all over facebook and twitter this week, can't take them winning the league, the city would be unbareable!!

  7.

A problem that blew out of all proportion, followed by an attempt to sort it out.

A guy then shows a lot of courage admiting he has a few problems, could probably do without some twat with half a brain making a stupid comment.

If this is your attempt at luring me in for the sequel I'm afraid I will have to pass as I have other commitments x
