  1. Totally disagree. I think it would have been better to get those games in early before they get into their stride

The newly promoted sides always seem to do well in the first month of the season. I think they just get so pumped up for it and get through on adrenalin alone

We'll find out in a few weeks mate :jump for joy:

  2.

He's far better linking up play than Lukaku, better in the air depsite being a few inches shorter. He just does not get knocked off the ball - at all, he uses his strength whereas Lukaku seems off balance.

Give Lukau 5 years - give him 10 years - that touch of his is here to stay.

Lukaku is quicker, Bony has a better strike on him.

In short Bony is ideal for our play.

Say we got him for 20 mil have him for 5 years then sold him at age 30/31 for probably what 3/5 mil?

Same with Lukaku but sold him at 25/26 for 20/25 mil?

You think Bony would score/create more goals than Rom to justify that difference?

He would have to be a 25/30 goal a year striker for us. I just don't see it, but I hope if we get him I'm wrong and you're right.

  3.

Yeah and for me he is worth it, the ACN would bother me but he is a complete forward.

Have you watched Swansea all season? From what I have seen from Bony (which isn't alot i'll admit) he is very much a similar player to Lukaku.

If we get him then I hope he is as good as you say, just wondering how you think he is worth it yet a player who is 5 years younger still developing isn't?

  4. Was listening to Talksport this morning and they made a good point (For a change) they named all the players who had scored more goals for England than Rooney has (Think it was 4 or 5) then asked how many of them had been played out wide?

Why play a striker out wide when you've got players who actually do play out wide on the bench and a player who also plays out wide, starting down the middle (Sterling).

The blame has to lie with the manager, it now looks like he is going to swap Sterling and Rooney for the next match.

  5.

I think that is the worst possible opening day fixture we could have had

The newly promoted teams always start off well and invarouably fade as the season goes on, so to get last seasons Championship winners away first game isnt a good thing. They will be well up for it especially being at home

Think its a really tough start overall, best we get our new signings in early!

Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal away would all have been alot worse.

Leicester will make alot of new signings in the summer which will take time to gel, we will have pretty much the same players who started for us most last season barring Barry and Lukaku.

I think we will win it, we will need to really with the following 2 fixtures.

Nov and Dec could be big months for us looking at the fixtures.

  8. If he doesn't want to drop Rooney then he should play him as the main striker with Lallana Barkley and Sterling behind him, put Sturridge on the bench.

No point in taking the youngsters if they don't let them play from the first game. Bringing them on to win a game from a losing position or expecting them to help you win the last 2 games after losing the first one will put far too much pressure on them.

  9. Hi

I have recently completed a request for a commission based on Everton legends, Dixie Dean, Alan Ball, Howard Kendall and Duncan Ferguson.

Have you got any Mark Pembridge and Scott Gemmill ones?

  10.

He has scored 9 in 1461 PL minutes this season. Extrapolate the same average to 2556 minutes (the amount Lukaku played) and he'd end up at 15,7 goals. That's having played on the wing quite a bit rather than up front.

All 9 goals came against poor opposition, I think it was only 1 game where he scored a winning goal, as I say if we a can get him for cheap then fair enough but 10million for him is too much. Obviously this all my opinion if we get him and he scores 20 goals then i'll happily hold my hands up and say I was wrong.

  11. I think if we can get him for 5 miliion then get him, otherwise don't bother, he's average.

I haven't seen anything from him to believe he could score more than 8-10 goals in a season and I don't know how anyone else on here has. He loves falling over and that dummy which flicked off his heel on Friday night was sheer brilliance.

It would be like buying another Naismith, which is all well and good as Naismith has done well and works hard, but you need someone to put the ball in the net not run around getting in the way.
