Would be made up with Europa League qualification, whether it be finishing 6th or winning the FA Cup, obviously i'd prefer the latter. Not arsed if people think its a shite cup, it builds the profile of the club and European away days with your mates are decent!

I liked Neville, especially at RB, most notably whenever he came up against Bale who was arguably the best LM in the league at the time.

What's the point in supporting a team if you don't want to see them progress, Europa League is progression for us seems we haven't played in it since 09/10.

I'm gutted we haven't been in Europe for as long as we have, I love European nights at Goodison whether it be against some team from Slovakia/Greece/Norway no ones ever heard of, or when we came back from 2 nil down against Fiorentina and lost on pens.

I'll be made up if we qualify for it. The manager can then try and deal with the squad size problems in the summer.

I think March is gonna be our most important month in a while, if we can pick up some decent wins it will give us momentum for what will be a tough April.

NyarkosLeftToe reacted to Bailey in Lukaku & Naismith
I think that Nyarko is ultimately right.

Naismith has come in and done well but if he is going to be the future of EFC then we are fucked. I know people arent suggesting that as such but he should really be a squad player at best. I ike his movement, I like the way he finds himself in the right place at the right time and he is a reliable finisher but his touch can be hot and cold, he is slow, he isnt as effective in the air through the middle, he isnt a great passer of the ball and whilst I think he can see where the final ball will end up, I dont think he is that good at putting the earlier pieces of the jigsaw in place.

I think he is the perfect cover/bench player for us but lets not get carried away.

NyarkosLeftToe got a reaction from GoodisonRoad in James McCarthy
McCarthy is a class act, its pretty simple and obvious to most of the fans, alot of fans who go the game and watch us on telly don't know anything about football, either because they have never played or because they just simply don't understand the game, you have to just not listen to these fans or you end up getting wound up.

We will see who has been our best player this season when the 'Players player of the year' is announced. Barring an injury or Coleman getting into double figures with goals scored it will be McCarthy.

Gibson is a decent player and I have always liked him, but, he's now 3rd choice behind Barry and McCarthy because he isn't as good as them, he still has a job to do though.

New to this site so I don't know anyone or how people are, i've just come on here during work time hoping to have discussions with some proper Everton fans. Winds me up how much doom and gloom goes along with being an Everton fan, you get it at the match all the time people moaning because a player misplaces a pass or we draw with a team a few places below us and its the end of the world.

This season has been a good season whether we finish 1st or 11th, we have a new manager that plays football the right way and knows how to make posiitive substitutions, we have been unlucky with timing of injurys but you can't expect any new manager to come in and perform miracles immediately! Its a working progress and we are definitely moving in the right direction, the McCarthy shout was beyond deluded, the lad has been brilliant.

I'm looking forward to the next few years under Bobby and I think all Everton fans should.

You're missing my point, this season has been about progression, the fact the players have taken so well and quickly to a new manager who has radically changed our playing style is a success, as I said the timings of injuries to key players has been unlucky, but I do think with time and a more in depth squad (Which takes time, you can't expect a manager to bring in ALL the players he wants in 2 windows) we will be in a stronger position to sustain a champions league push.

Back to McCarthy, you don't have to score goals, beat people or get assists to be a good player, his work rate is unreal and without him Coleman/Baines/Barkley would not be able to break forward as much as they do, he is constantly providing cover and protection to the back 4.
