Exactly, need to look after him physically but also mentally here. Would be devastating for him to have another injury.

IF Gbabim starts i will be seriously concerned about the man management of our club. He needs to get 20 mins at the end for a few games and be worked into it gently.

I get the concerns over the risk as you have highlighted. He is a class, class player though and I guess this is what Carlo and co must be weighing up.

I didn’t hate us signing him. I still think he could have been useful if it weren’t for the injury. Regardless I hope he moves on and can get a few decent season out as he is a likeable guy.

I haven’t selected any key players in midfield really apart from Gomes. Gomes, DCL and Richarlison should play to hopefully boost confidence. Both DCL and Richarlison could use a goal each.

Can we loan them Kenny. No offence to Kenny but he clearly isn’t up to standard.

Not sure. Personally I think he’s a classy player. They have had some excellent midfielders though so it’s hard to judge on why he hasn’t started.

Real Madrid are apparently happy to let him go this month.

Gylfi for holgate maybe or even play the 1 sitter with Bernard next to Gomes. Might be getting carried away, but id even like to see Gomes get the armband and really see if he takes the game on or it might just encourage him that much more.

I hope he is livid. Credit Moyes because he has just shown how easy it is to park up against us and get at least a point.

The pass that went into touch that was intended for Godfrey on the left? Not a great moment but Godfrey darted in behind as he played it - would have gone to his feet otherwise. Still as I have said, he was trying things, trying to get players involved and move the ball forward but he needs to sharpen up the simple side of his game.

He's like a futsal player hey, strong with good feet. Fingers crossed this is beginning of some consistent performances because we need a bit of creativity

Absolutely. So much respect for Godfrey and what he has done though but i agree. I hope he gets a run at CB in the cup game or something soon because he has 100% deserved it.

I'm not so upset with Davies because i could see the positive things he was trying. My issue is he is letting himself down with the easy stuff. I want him to succeed, i really do - hit those 10 yard passes and get some conviction on them - Changes a 5/10 to a 6.5-7/10 for me. Gomes from the start with how we was playing would have helped Davies immensely.

Highlights what James and Digne mean going forward. Godfrey has been impressive and solid at the back but we have lost so much going forward. Gylfi is just Gylfi - i am really interested in seeing Gomes in that role.

Agree, he needs to cut out his play acting shit. There's been games though were Mina takes on the responsibility of the big man and wins that battle. I think Burnley off the top of my head was a good case. Regardless, he isnt a silky smooth defender but he is so far down the list of concerns right now for me. Credit Carlo, hes got us better at the back - hopefully James and light the fire and get the goals going. Gomes into the 10 spot for me as well because i havent seen him express himself like that for a long time.

Fair, at least you admit it. If Mina put in Holgates performance tonight this place would blow up in fury. For the whole, we conceded 1 goal off a deflection - it happens. I don't think he hid. He was slow moving the ball because Richarlison, Gylfi and Bernard (lesser extent) weren't interested in getting it off him.
