Khedira would have dominated that game tonight. I feel for Davies, he miss hit some simple passes but he tried to get the ball over the top a bit and get it going forward with no movement in front of him.

Subs were better than the starting team. I dont think Cenk did anything wrong but we waste DCL when we play like we did for the 60 minutes.

I know its not a great look to bag the ref after the game but there was a few instances where Friend was positioned directly to the side of our player with the ball almost blocking the switch of play. Once case i think he even got hit by the ball.

Think its harsh to put that goal on him though, Holgate was the worst of the 2 all game in both defending and distribution. Richarlison was worse than Davies for me. We love him because he normally runs his ass off and is a goal threat. Hopefully its just a little patch and he will bounce back. Bernard & Gylfi okay? Gylfi was non exisent for 40 or so minutes which is why we had to play sideways and backwards. Bernard maybe but he seems to always follow up a decent performance with a questionable one.

Not sure Mina warrants the criticism. Holgate sloppy all game. No one wanted to take responsibility there. Gomes our best player. Showed sigurdson that you can play the 10 and get on the ball and tried to get us forward

Think Gomes has made a big difference. Showing for the ball and looking to play forward. Tosun will score simply because of the shit we have given him on here.

It’s been a strange season. All the teams are guilty of dropping points against some “lower” teams. Sheffield was promising though - the last 3/4 years we don’t win that game. If we are to push on and get ourselves a top 4 spot it won’t be the last game we grind out a result! Hopefully Richarlison kicks into goals scoring form as well.

There’s not been a lot of information released but by the looks of it - it seems to have been coaching staff more than players. They have intensively cleaned their academy and certain areas are to remain shut. Im not sure but I would assume the players are under going regular mandatory testing and if no symptoms are evident than I would also assume they are clear to play. If they are asking fans to under go a covid test prior to attending then I guess the players will be under equally strict instructions. Very strange this.

Their squad has resumed full training in preparation for chelsea on the weekend... Im surprised Everton haven’t released another statement. They may still be waiting on the answers.

If we are in Europe next season we will need a decent back up striker. Think this could be a go. Throw in Isco and Khedira and I’m pretty happy with that window.

Id be playing the same line up that’s been bringing in the points. Richarlison back in for this one. James off the bench - hopefully more central. Fingers crossed for another strong defence performance and a clean sheet. We definitely have the players to score a few against them.

Not sure but he said Milik is more complete striker than Icardi. Played 35 games last season with 14 goals ( 2,109 minutes - goal every 150 minutes ). Good in the air but also good with his feet. I think he is a realistic back up striker and easily better than Tosun whilst offering higher re-sale value over Costa. Edit - 18/19 season was 47 games, 20 goals/4 assists.

I think we should go for Milik from Napoli first. He isn’t even in their 25 squad and it’s crazy. He’s a very good footballer. Only 26 as well

I believe it was decided on the Monday before the game on Friday. From the reports we were given 4 hours notice, we seemed to have heard second hand and weren’t kept informed as it was unfolding. There’s been fans who have sat in queues for over an hour to have their covid test to attend the game. I don’t necessarily expect 3 points but I’m glad we aren’t letting the FA walk over us because it’s a “big” team affected.

There’s a lot of talk on Instagram. Really interesting to see how this plays out. If it were the other way around we would have been fielding our 23’s or forfeiting points, no doubt.

I don’t really think Godfrey is silky on the ball in the same way Holgate or stones are/were. He can carry it out nicely, his pace will get him out of trouble or through into space. Playing as a fullback myself it was a nightmare to switch sides which is why I’m even more impressed with him as CB playing on his wrong foot.

Wouldn’t mind it between their game against liverpool 7/2 and Spurs 14/2 for me. If cups permit it. Must say I’m happy with this. Undoubtedly the best run over Christmas I can remember us having. Time to regroup and push on!

Can’t believe how well he played. He’s doing such a great job playing out of position and to be part of the backline that has been so impressive the last 4 games. He’s really stepped up for the team. Easy to forget he’s still so young. Becoming a big big fan of his.
