I understand however I only really got into football at about 14 ( come from a rugby only family so my father was devastated ) and I didn’t want to follow a cliche top 4 team because I felt everyone over here did. Cahill played a huge part but the ethics of this club is what I loved and still do.

It’s what brought me to the club in a sense. Outside the big boys and a club that tried to do things the right way. I loved it that we spent nothing but fought and competed. It’s sad we didn’t win a trophy - I think that’s down to Moyes and not our squad. End of - I’m proud of this club and we seem to pioneer community actions for clubs. Long may it continue.

Absolutely, this game will be won in the midfield and I expect it to be frantic. We’ve had the extra day rest so I hope we win that battle. I think James could be more suited against arsenal who aren’t going to press as much.

Think Davies has had a rough deal the last few seasons. Been a part of a shit house midfield but he’s looked like more of a leader than most. I think I just want him to do well because he’s from the academy.

I get what you are saying without a doubt but Allan is all energy. Doucoure as well. I’d have no issues with Khedira coming on for the 30 with those two in front of him, even starting matches. We don’t have a midfielder who plays/covers horizontal lines and he’s one of the best. Would be huge for Davies and young players as well.

Godfrey and Holgate are the types you want in a 3 in my opinion. Mina and Keane - absolutely not. Regardless, I don’t mind the flat 4 right now. We’ve got goals in us I just hate seeing us concede every week. It’s boring but I’d rather see us win 2-0 then 4-3.

Not only his technical ability but he’s worn the armband countless times and shrieked it. Hopefully it’s more to come, I’m happy to see him have a good game. If he pulls his finger out he has the ability to win us points single handily and we will need that over the next month. -
I agree. Although - I’m a big big fan of the 3 at the back but it needs the right players and we tried it when we had those players out injured. Great to see a clean sheet as well. Hopefully we are building some nice momentum into a busy period. 1 win off the top 4 so hopefully we can fight for some big points - get a player or 2 in the window and really kick on.

Agreed, we have momentum finally and need to build on it. Chelsea proved if we keep it simple we are better, no need to change anything.

I can see the punch from his point of view - he’s trying to command the area and take responsibility so I’m happy there. He knows he needs to get more on it though. Freekick was a concern. Hopefully they get him sorted there. I’d rather see my keeper beaten over the wall top corner than a shot to their side.

Shame Mina got his head to that ball at the back post because Dom was going to bury it. Quality performance - he works so hard. His touch is getting better and better as well. Strength to strength, long may it continue.

Honestly, pickford we excellent first half. We’ve just kept a clean sheet and you want to change the backline..? Same team. James for Gylfi last 30 if we are chasing it. More support for DCL though.

I had the same thought about Holgate. Think it works best with iwobi as an attacking rb to provide a bit more cover. Carlo has some work on this selection. think I want Pickford Iwobi Mina Keane Niels Holgate Doucoure Allan Gomes DCL Richarlison

Ancelotti offers us a chance at a completely different level of players than we ever had before though. Id be really disappointed if we didn’t give the 2 of them 2/3 years to build something. It could be pretty special. Right now, I feel our fist 11 can mix it with any team - our start showed that. Our depth though is why we are in this position.

Bang on. Something has to be going on. Also - Gordon is out and out the closest we have to Richarlison in terms of direct dribbling and eye for goal. Really wish we gave him a run when he had the 3 game suspension.
