No Coleman for this one and Gbamin still returning to fitness. Mina in and Holgate to RB for me. Just need him to lock down that right side and focus on defending. Primarily attack down the left with the James switch to Richy/Digne wing. Mina and Keane.... two big centre backs need to have Mitrovic under control. Mina especially - I understand some don’t rate him and I can see those points ( I don’t mind him so much ) however, this should be the situation he relishes and I expect him to be dominant. Midfield - Allan, Doucoure and Bernard with Bernard on the left of the three to allow Doucoure and to a lesser extent Allan to cover behind James ( Robinson is an attacking fullback ). Richarlison to occupy a second striker position/extra body in the box when Digne has width and Bernard to link up with him. I’ll be seriously concerned if Gylfi starts. No issue with a iwobi however as I thought he looked good when he came on against United. 3 points to get us rolling again.

Mate I understand that and agree. I’m saying 2 players out of a back 5 have been acceptable so far. I get they are a collective unit but I’ve been happy with their levels so far. Centre backs and goalkeeper have been suspect and need to shape up quickly. Think holgate will play RB as coleman is out for Fulham. Mina to come in and mark Mitrovic

Should be at least 3 years. Never been an athletic/pacey player so would hopefully play well into 30’s ( similar time David Silva ) Would hell James a lot though, “if” we have Europe next season I think it’s becoming increasingly obviously James won’t be playing 2/3 games a week consistently.

James made more of an error for their second goal than Mina did in any. Think the first goal, Mina played a ball into the CDM who was under pressure and lost the ball, conceded from that.

How he stands over any dead ball at the moment is beyond me. James was dangerous with nearly every ball he put in those first few weeks, then it’s Digne.

He’s excelled in 2 teams that have top class quality and dominate proceedings. I don’t think he’s suited to the nitty gritty stuff - holding it up or running the channels ect. Let’s see how psg against the bigger teams in the champs league.

If Holgate left Martial to nod home unmarked he would be crucified for that. It’s a game of small margin so in the moment I was probably over critical but I still feel Keane is no mans land for both goals.

It’s the statement as well. James plus Isco along with Allan is a huge statement and could even help sway getting that top class defender.

Exactly, i like Bernard but for one of his positives he has a negative. Iwobi is absolutely frustrating because the moment he shows a glimpse of what he could be he reverts back to his "usual" self. Gordon is just a direct winger, he might come in and not perform but his ceiling is not set yet and the more opportunity we give him now the higher that ceiling goes in my opinion.

We can't and shouldn't be affording passengers. We gave them a chance to play themselves into some form but this is the point of having a competitive squad. Said it during our winning streak that Gomes needed to be dropped to make an example, despite being in a winning team. We lost a couple of key performers and we are now in this position. We can't be dependent on the same 3/4 players to be at their absolute best to win us games each week whilst the rest go through the motions.

I think Holgate will start over Godfrey here. So id go that line up. Depending on what Bernard we get, id bring Iwobi on for Bernard and Move James into midfield to get him involved. Again though, depends if Iwobi is going to be the player who came on for 20 minutes against united or the Iwobi thats been around more often than not.

I cant see how he hasn't got minutes with Richarlison out & Bernard/Iwobi only offering 15/20 minutes performances when they are starting.
