Firstly I only caught the first 20 of the game..
Secondly I've read most the post and got the jist that we were utter shit and a few individual errors again cost us dearly.
I never like to see us lose. Be it a friendly, capital one cup or even a dead rubber, I just hate it. However I think this game was used to get minutes into some of the lesser run lads hoping to have them upto speed for when Europa/PL/FA Cup games are coming thick and fast... That's the only positive I can look for because we will need them!
The third goal for me that Howard is getting Slated on I find hard, ball has come through a crowd of bodies and really the defence should not be letting them get shots away so easily.
There's too much slating of players going on for me, they have been poor, they know, we know it and everyone here is entitled to say what they feel and mostly the criticism is due but we need to get behind them before the derby!
-
3 goals conceded that again were our own fault... Absolute shambles
-
Osman again caught on the call. When will Martinez learn
-
Ceck every every post I've ever said about howard.for every game he saves you he costs you two.Single handedly he has cost us this so far.
First one is as much stones... Second was incredibly poor from Tim no defence there
-
McCarthy has been terrible for me
-
Whole team has gone to sleep after our first goal..
-
Howard's gonna get slaughtered here

Everton 3 - CP 0

Are you listening online mate??We're "chasing shadows" according to the radio
-
Arsenal drawing with city now, 5 to go.. Hopefully city nab one for the win! Already looking at arsenal dropping as many points as possible haha
-
WBA 0 - Everton 2
Naismith
-
Howard
Coleman Stones Distin Baines
Besic McCathy
McGeady Miralles
Lukaku Eto'o
No naismith? Crazy!
-
Not saving Distin just need to drop either him or Jags. Saved Jags as he looked like the player we know on Monday albeit only 15 mins but i'm hoping it will be the turning point.
I really don't think we can afford to rest anyone so if fit think they should start. Thought Eto has a hamstring problem???? Or was it just rumours??? Maybe one of the old faithfuls on this site would know.
Bit harsh I think dropping Distan... Yeh I heard that rumour I wouldn't look into it too much until something official comes out I mean Costa was rumoured out for 6 weeks before we played them and he killed us...

Tough game then again there isn't an easy game away in the prem esp with our circus act as a defence at the moment. Big Vic will be up for the this altough he's about a good a premiership striker than i am
dancer he can still cause havoc to any defenders........on his day.
This game isn't going to be pretty or a great example of fine football but this has to be 3 points no matter how ugly they are won.
Have to say i am a little worried if Rom isnt available as i can see a liitle person starting behind Naismith who isn't my cup of tea ( that's being very polite).
Starting line up exc Rom.
Howard
Coleman Jags Stones Baines
Mirallas Barry McCarthy Mcgeady
Not My Cuppa
Naismith
Saving Distan for Wolfsburg?
This will be interesting to see how Martinez approaches this, I fear Osman may get a start to save legs and Rom will be rested for Wolfsburg. If so i would like to see
Howard
Coleman jags Stones Baines
Besic McCarthy
Mirrallas Naisy McGeady
Eto
If rom is fit have him in for Eto as I think he experience of Barry and Eto will be far more important in the Wolfsburg game, Besic must be dying to atone for his error so throw him in!! And McGeady solely on his high from the international week if be telling him to Go out there and back himself..
-
Wahayyyyyy here we go all coming out now, I've always said he's good, I think he's great, I sai he would come good, I've always said he was special....
Give it till west brom at least, yous will all be on his case again soon.
I've always backed him and hoped he would be as good as he can be... But in all honesty I had felt a little bit let down by him coming into the season, and he warranted the slack he got for Arsenal game but then put a good shift in against Chelsea. Let's just hope it continues because he will be an important member this year!
-
Martin O'Neill said something along the lines of 'their was only one player on the pitch who could've scored that goal..... He can be a frustrating talent, but tonight he was a genius'.
Sounds bang on to be fair.
Agree, I like McGeady ( great for fifa ) we all know he's capable of the most fantastic skill and can beat a man with ease. It's the simple lay off/ pass and tracking that if improved on, he would be a very very good player.

It is a bit run down before the stadium was built, Ancoats is alright but avoid Hyde. Didsbury is my favourite but the traffic is a nightmare into town from there, however there's a tram only about 25 mins to town. Chortlon is where a lot of the post grads go once they've become young professionals would be worth checking out. Salford quays likewise. There's castlefield and northern quarter in the city centre if your budget is high.
Awesome, I'll look into those areas. Thanks pal!!

Shouldn't have any problem finding plumbing work mate. Though you won't be able to touch gas without a Gas Safe permit. Not sure exactly what qualifications you'll need to obtain that. Could be a lengthy process.
I'm an electrician and we're governed up to our eye balls. I have to be assessed by a governing body yearly just to be able to work in domestic premises. Costs me about a £1000.00 in assessment fees and meter calibration etc. before I even start. This is all only possible because I'm a fully qualified spark (5 years training) with the required certs and experience.
I started my own business just over 3 years ago and haven't looked back. If you're finding it tough getting employment once you're over here self employment is always a decent option within the trades.
Ah good on you mate!! It's a bit the same back here, extra courses after completion of your apprenticeship (that are like 8,000 AU) and then plumbing is heavily governed (inspections) only gas is self certified... But I'm happy to just work for someone, especially since it would all be so differant to how we do things here!!
Thanks again J, we had a quick look the other day for places to rent and had a few we liked come up around The Etihad, absolutely no idea what the area itself is like! (I'll definitely have to get a few of you out for a beer!)
-
Haha not a problem J, I should be alright picking up work I just thought I would try my hand here first!
Mate any advise would be hugely appreciated!! Do you live in Manchester yourself?
-
Hey boys,
As I've mentioned in an earlier topic I'm moving to England from Australia in January. I know it's a stretch and I'm asking a bit, but I'm a Plumber by trade and work for myself here in Brisbane.. If any of you lads know or are plumbers and looking for a worker or could possibly help me out at all I would appreciate it beyond words! I am moving to Manchester however!( talked my mate out of London so I can make the trip to Goodison much easier )
Would also love to get along to a few matches with you lot and hopefully were still going strong in Europe!!
Cheers,
Brad

What's the betting that now the window has closed, and fans can't expect us to bring a replacement in, that it's confirmed he's out for 5 months?
Oh I'm such a cynic .
Would be half our luck wouldn't it... However we truly haven't noticed his absence due to Naismith turning it on!!
-
Well I'm sure we all agree regardless, that we need 6 points and convincingly done, to get a roll on before the Deby away and unite at home..
-
We will struggle in Europe if we keep leaking home goals

Both he and Naismith need to start the derby, were gonna need players with a grit for this one!
