  1. Last year, yeah. But last season they spent 50 million and before that 70. 63 the year before and so on.

  3. Henen just tweeted that he wants to stay at Everton. David Henen ‏@HenenDavid 8m8 minutes ago j'ai montrer mes intentions a mon agent de rester a everton , tout ira vite maintenant .. laisser moi profiter de les congés maintenant 0 retweets0 favorites
  4. Want to feel depressed about the summer already? http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/jun/01/premier-league-transfer-window-clubs
  5. Deulofeu only started 9 games. And Coleman was so good that year he could cope with it pretty well.
  6. There's a chance he's bee told he's surplus to requirements. ManU are almost certain to sign defenders this window so his playing time might be very limited next season if he stays. As third choice defender he'd get plenty here.
  7. As I said, I wouldn't mind him at the right price but if he was the main signing this would be a very bad summer transfer-wise. We need a playmaker and CB ahead of Deulofeu.
  8. I hope we find someone better. Really, people saw him showboat a few times and think he's the answer. He went missing most of the time and his overall workrate was very questionable. Not to mention his decision making. When he played in front of Coleman, Coleman often had to defend against two players because Deulofeu wouldn't track back. Subsequently Coleman couldn't go forward at all. And apparently he has a poor attitude: http://www.barcablaugranes.com/2015/4/13/8405643/sevilla-are-unhappy-with-gerard-deulofeus-attitude I still wouldn't mind him here at the right price especially since we are short on wingers but he's not going to be the answer to our problems. I'd rather see a playmaker being the big signing.
  9. Contracts usually end at end of June (and new ones start July 1st).
  10. Shawcross is dirty bastard and I don't want him anywhere near Everton. Signing someone like Dann makes sense, he's used to PL and we have three promising centre back already but soon only one experienced one.
  11. The problem is is he's got no experience in the PL and he's already 27 so there is a much bigger risk than with someone like Benteke. So I just doubt anyone would pay that unless they are desperate. He would get about the same as Baines, the best fullback in the league.
  12. Doesn't matter, 60k for a player of his status is madness. There aren't many players at Everton who make that much.
  13. 60k is definitely over the top. Any manager would be craze to pay that. Over a four-year contract it amounts to 12 million investment on an unproven and erratic player.
  14. Sums up my thoughts as well: http://www.sos1878.co.uk/everton-news/a-club-crying-out-for-leaders-with-vision/ Are we happy to be the arl fella in the pub? Should we? Earl is in it for the money, and he was brought in by Kenwright to get rid of Gregg, who at least wanted to pay for King's Dock.
  15. Yes. It was clear we hit a glass ceiling under Moyes.
  16. Has someone actually said a new owner guarantees a trophy? As for the second issue, who hired Suntan Bob, I wonder?
  17. You are happy that there has been "stability". Of course there haven't, it was just that Moyes managed to overachieve with no investment. There was a serious boardroom fight between Kenwright and Gregg which lead to even more power to Philip Green. There was the Kirkby debacle which hurt the club. There was the Trevor Birch incident. And so on. Signing Moyes was the one and only saving grace Kenwright has done. Signing Martinez is still debatable. Pretty much everything else has been detrimental.
  18. Interesting post about Robert Earl: http://othertallstories.blogspot.nl/2013/06/everton-fc-curious-case-of-missing.html
  19. Yay, we have at least survived! Not won anything, but that's ok, because we are the plucky little Everton. Far from us to hope for a bit of silverware, right? We don't need any trophies as long as we remain in the top flight! AND HE DID NOT SPEND 28 MILLION ON LUKAKU. If Martinez hadn't sold Fellaini, Anichebe and Jelavic he wouldn't have been able to buy him.
  20. I'm sure the neighbour is interested in selling at that price. You up for it?
  21. OK, so we obviously agree that Kenwright is a greedy person who'se in it for the money?
  22. No, he has the right to price it however he wants. If I set a billion euro price on my house and my neighbour at 200 million would that mean my neighbour's ordinary house which in reality costs about 1/1000th of that is reasonably priced?
  23. Spurs' price is ridiculous. Villa apparently has a better stadium, so you have to factor that in as well. A new stadium is, what, 150+ million making the club's price at 350+ million. So if it's a steal why has the club been for sale for over 15 years?
