    Loved the story about watching Mina against England and saying “shit, he’s scored”. It’s lovely to hear what we had in place before the World Cup and the type of players we were in for. Brands is top bloke and obviously knows the market. I shudder to think what it would have been like with Walsh and Sam.

    Zouma has had a full pre season so depending on how fit Holgate is I could see him playing. If we get a good win I am really optimistic this season that we will see some great football played

    What’s good about this squad is that we now have real options. 4-3-3, 4-2-31 or even a diamond would suit us with Walcott or richarlson up top. Bernard is a deffo starter for me. So a variation of the 4-2-3-1 would be ideal. Walcott on the right, Richie’s on the left with Bernard in behind cenk. Gilfi and Gomes or gana in the centre

    I hope we don’t see gana and Morgan at home. It would really impress me if Marco played gana/Morgan with sigi and Bernard if fit. I’m sure he could give us 60 minutes. If not him then Davies. Deffo get Mina in. Can see us getting an early goal and then winning by two or three.

    Good post mate. We played great considering the red card. I thought if we’d have gone in eleven v eleven at half time 0-1 we would have scored two or three. For the first time in a while you can see us giving teams a 3 or 4 nil drubbing
