I tell you what you m liking most with this patch under Dyche. It’s that for the first time in YEARS, our players seem to be getting better, and delivering improved performances. Even Myko, Patto and Doucs who had trodden water or regressed for so long.
And they’re seemingly absolutely loving life on the pitch. A joy to watch.

At one point it flashed up on the screen that we'd had 37% possession and I was actually surprised because it hadn't felt that way at all due to us being the side that looked dangerous, and like the side that would score (and score a few at that). I admit, though, that come half time when we hadn't made our chances count I was worried that it would be like many other home games this season where we are the better side but then go on to lose the game.
That worry only increased in the second half as we weren't as threatening at all and with 20 minutes to go Newcastle were starting to really control things and look like it would be them to take the lead. If they had then I didn't think we'd have it in us to come back to get anything from the game. But then we found our clinical edge and went bang, bang, bang with the chances that fell our way.
I'm so proud of the team tonight - to a man, they all performed. They all gave everything. And all the fans in the ground gave them everything in return. I'm hoarse from urging them on and then singing my heart out to show my appreciation for their efforts.
Take 30 points off us if you like, we're going fucking nowhere.
I’ll be going to my first ever match at goodison this year after 15 years of fandom from abroad. This is what I’m hoping to see on that night. COYB

The last two young has really played well. He never stops working. I still want to see Patterson but our defense has been stellar and the side has been superbly well organized so I understand wanting continuity.

Went branthwaite, but almost everyone showed up today. Feels odd to vote defender when I thought our midfield pressing is what separated us today but every time they found a way to break through jarrod was there to shut it down. Incredible how sharp he is.

Where have I seen this story before?!
quite a good half. We’ve been the better side with Ashley young playing midfield.

Just tweeted that it is Young in the midfield. This is gonna be rough on the eyes.

Most Everyone did well today. McNeil and Harrison were poor apart from one key moment and Beto a massive letdown.
I thought McNeil was very good today. In possession he lacked but he never stopped working and kept them uncomfortable in possession for lots of the match.

Enormous three points without DCL and onana. Thought most were actually solid today. Beto the only one that stood out as poor. Some performances came and went but overall pretty solid. We just don’t have the ability in the final third to manufacture goals consistently but we’re doing what we can to get chances.

This run has been insane. So well organized every match. Another huge three points. We would legitimately be in the running for Europe without the deduction.
