Kid has 14 goals and 9 assists this season so he likes to get forward.
Remember his name and Dennis Praet being linked to us during the Martinez era to fill the ACM void / put pressure on Barkley. So could just be lazy journalism / digging up old stories. The latest story seems super thin. When asked about Everton all he said was it was best to progress step by step and that he didn't have a preference league wise. How that equates to interest in Everton is beyond me.
That being said, would love to see him here. Seems further along than Dowell at the moment.

Stoked for the lad.

Basically though it's an injury to Lukaku. If he gets injured we're going to struggle. If Mirallas gets injured as well even more so. We are weak as ever upfront!
Wouldn't it be rough for any team to lose their top striker? Before Koeman it would have been Kone filling in and now we have Valencia. I call that improvement. (So not sure about the weak as ever comment)
Furthermore, what striker made a January move in the epl that you would have had? Not seeing any pieces of good business there. As I mentioned before, decent January window and now looking forward to the summer to address the cover up top. (ie Valencia is only on loan)

We are an injury away to Lukaku, Mirallas & Barkley to it being a crisis!
Three injuries at the same time would be a crisis for most teams.

Got three computer monitors at my desk, sometimes one is used for games while I work.

I saw a perfect tweet last night after the window shut and it pretty much sums up that window:
"Imagine we got rid of the shite at the beginning of the window and signed Schneiderlan and Lookman at the end, people wouldn't complain then would they"
I honestly think people want signings for the sake of it sometimes, I'd rather wait for the right targets in the summer than signing a player who will do a mediocre job. As much as I love our players now I'd rather we sign a player who is better than them, no room for sentiment when you want to win.
This window we wanted a striker but seriously take a look with what strikers was available, teams don't want to sell their bets players in Jan, especially the type we would be after. Have patience lads, the reconstruction is well underway and come summer (when we hopefully can offer European football which is a major pull) then we will get the right bodies in.
This exactly. Lots of twitter chatter about people's dream window with 4-5 signings but compared to other teams we had one of the best windows this january. How many times has that been fact of the last couple of years. Heading the right direction. Stoked to see how Koeman & Walsh's plans play out in the future/summer.

He was on corners (service was so-so). Assuming Capoue is more of a threat around the box (think he used to take them?).
-
assisted kaboul who opened the scoring today at arsenal. Watford up 2-0 so far.
Wasn't it just a touch from a free kick before kaboul smashed it?
-
That's a relief.

What a cross... if you can call that a cross. haha.
Still pumped he got a goal though. Hopefully hull keeps him.

Read a few Hull forums last night.
It's a good move for him, he doesn't seem to generate the hate he does here. The only criticism they seemed to have Saturday was his defending for the second goal... and that was a split. Apparently he had one of their best efforts on goal with a smart turn and shot.
Looked for highlights of him on the match but couldn't find them.
That turn and shot was great but his effort before that hit the moon.

Didn't Pennington just come back from an injury? And wasn't Browning hurt earlier this season? Might be options but probably both need more time.
-
Not a starter. We already have Valencia to warm the bench.
-
Hoping Hull takes him permanently and thus permanently ends this thread.

Nope nope nope

Even if the link was made up still enjoyed this reaction:

Still have high hopes for him. Seems to have the right attitude. Can always use a number 10.

A few positive notes in a thread full of negatives.
Most clubs haven't brought anyone in.
No club has brought in more than 1 player so far.
We are 2nd on the money spent so far behind Liecester.

Anyone else been constantly checking twitter since Jan 1 waiting for this to be done?

No thanks. Would rather give younger players who care a chance before this injury prone gunner.
-
Don't see him moving in Jan. but would love to have him here.

Put it this way, I'm a damn site happier with this signing than the potential spunking of £25m on Memphis "Gangsta" Depay.
By all accounts Lookman has a great appetite for the game and a real desire to do well. We need more players that WANT to play for Everton rather than just looking for another lucrative contract.
Agreed.

Food for thought:
Transfermarkt has Youri listed as 5 times the market value compared to Delaney.
Delaney = 3.5 mil, 25yrs, left footed, this season = 8 goals, 5 assists, 2900+ minutes
Youri = 17 mil, 19yrs, both footed, this season = 14 goals, 9 assists, 2900+ minutes
