  1. Try not to get yourself escorted out the building Mike
  2. Gbamin and Kean could be like a bad penny.
  3. Fuck sake not only has Alli played shite he’s been taking our young prospects out as well
  4. Chelsea and City also were allowed to spend as much as they wanted in the beginning, Chelsea weren’t hampered by FFP when Abramavich took over and City found ways around the rules that have now been closed, but this isn’t about how much money Newcastle’s owners have they will only be allowed to spend in proportion of their turnover anyway. This is about DCL possibly leaving us to go to a club that is no bigger or better than we are on the chances they will succeed with money, that doesn’t look like an ambitious player in my eyes he has just as greater chance to achieve here than Newcastle. But to go to Utd Arsenal or Chelsea who are already at the top of the big 5 could very much be seen as an ambitious move, but Newcastle very much a sideways move for bigger wages if he went or was allowed to go there, also his contract is to 2025 so there is no rush to get rid of him and if Newcastle were they only interested I very much doubt we would allow him to go there, being that they are in and around us and fighting to become better than us.
  5. They weren’t broken or broke were they, and it does give them some chance of getting themselves into a chance of minor European spot in a few years, but they aren’t much better than we are and I see DCL making a sideways move by going there, if he had any ambition he would be pushing for a move to clubs I mentioned who are in the market for strikers. The fact you have a emotional connection with Everton and other fans to there clubs means diddly squat on DCL going to any team, you don’t have to tell me about their past history mate I was born there they were champion in the 50s bonnie lad. Also define huge do you think they are bigger than us, they are huge in Newcastle with loyal fans but nationally and globally no there not.
  6. Newcastle aren’t a club for ambitious players are they really, they’ve got no pedigree or stature that would lead me to believe they are going to make it to the top. A new owner and money is no guarantee of anything just look at our last few years.
  7. Analysts are constantly predicting a recession is on it’s way, the two biggest items to be hit in a recession first are housing and car sales, they would probably call it future proofing their business.
  8. I don’t think Newcastle are pretty proposition just yet it’s going to take them years to get near the top, and that may never happen, owners having money isn’t like it was look at us and FFP rules the same rules will apply to to them. If he was going to Utd Arsenal or Chelsea I could see the prospects in going there they are already established and proven in the top 5, but Newcastle sorry don’t get that year’s away yet and that’s if things go well.
  9. The majority are either spineless or there where more at the party’s than first thought.
  10. I don’t agree with the secret ballot rule MPs need be accountable to their constituents for the way they vote, after all it shouldn’t be their personal opinion they should vote the way the majority of constituents who have been bothered to make contact have requested how they feel they should vote.
  11. I haven’t Cluedo what your on about mate sounds like your in a right Piccadilly.
  12. I would like to think he wouldn’t choose to go there if he was looking to play European football in the near future, it could take easily 2-3 seasons before Newcastle make European comps and they may not make CL for many years to come. If he goes there I would see it as wages thing and an offer we found hard to refuse.
  13. You may find this unbelievable but neither was I. Historically on paper from the 80s through to early teens of the 2000s on paper Wales have had some great squads. As you I would have dearly loved to have seen big Nev play in the World Cup, and what a sight it would have been to see Van den hauwe sorting the Argentinians out they would have met their match against him.
  14. When you read the article and see what can be achieved for £500m the mind boggles when you think we have spent more than that on the purchase of players and achieved nothing. That’s the cost of throwing money at DofF managers and players who have been poor or at best average, then you look at the stadium and you can see what can be achieved for less investment when you instruct the right people for the project and allow them to impart their experience without interference.
  15. You would, yet Moshiri went underground to scared to show his face at Goodison in case the supporters turned on him. To be honest I’m quite happy for him to stay away as long as he keeps out of football matters.
  16. I wasn’t aware that the interest in him was that big a couple of years ago, we definitely need to overhaul our back line and you make some good points and maybe he is the one to make a significant difference to our defensive woes. From most media outlets we seem to be making a very concerted effort to bring him here, if it comes off let’s hope it’s for the right money because if we stick him on big wages and it doesn’t work out he will be hard to shift and just eat into our already beleaguered finances.
  17. As one of the protagonists is this I agree completely that it’s time to call time on this subject, everyone who wanted to have their say on this should have done so by now, so let’s agree to disagree no matter what side you are coming from, before it gets to far out of control and personal insults and vendettas over take is it not better that we walk away from this as friends so we have the opportunity to enjoy each other’s thoughts in the future
  18. I’d rather we were trying to build a team for the long term not the short term, at 32 Mee must surely be to old to consider, unless of course he is prepared to accept a short term contract based on appearances.
  19. Thanks I’ll keep an eye on his progress.
  20. Have we got a decent youngster coming through that maybe good enough to use as cover in a year or so.
  21. Also we have to take into account the precedent we are setting for ourselves by paying big wages to average players, since we signed Gylfi every player who comes here is looking for £100k plus, we need to stop looking like the club that keeps giving.
