Well that proves my point that rotation doesn’t happen because of tiredness, yet City Liverpool and Chelsea did rotate there squads during European cup games and domestic cup games, which proves that playing the same team week in and week out unless of injuries is the best way to go because you become more of team the more you work together, it could be said that the 3 teams mentioned didn’t do as well because they didn’t go for a settled team with constant chopping and changing, where Leicester didn’t do that.

And that is the point it’s a game that if we win would move us on, you have to go with your best players, DCL Doucoure Keane Godfrey every single player would gutted to be left out of the games like this, the games that can move the team forward.

How many players did Leicester rotate when they won the league they done it with minimal rotation, compared to the bigger clubs, that’s because the clubs like Leicester and us don’t have the depth of squads to replace players with players of equal ability, yet Leicester proved you wrong that fit players can play as many games as required and win the ultimate prize, we beat those teams because we were the better team on the day not because they had played a game in mid week and were tired, you are completely contradicting your own argument that teams rotate players if there tired, yet those 3 teams didn’t with the squads available to them, now who seems silly or are you more Knowledgeable than there managers. That is a fair assumption of what we are aiming for this season a place in Europe preferably the CL that’s why you have to go all out to win these games against City, they are the team’s you need to take points from the big 6 or 7 because if you don’t you won’t get your dream, so no resting players that we have no credible replacements for in games of this magnitude, to do so is defeatist and gives you no guarantee of the next game or the next, you should always try your hardest to win the next game in front of you.

Pickford. Holgate. Mina. Keane. Godfrey Davies. Doucoure. Iwobi. Gylfi. Bernard DCL If I was to see anything much different to that I would be shocked, my only doubts would be Keane and Davies who both went off with knocks.

From what I can see if we assume that Richarlison is injured you have rested one player which is Doucoure, so why only one when you have been debating that players have to be rested, I would have thought that DCL would be out for Tosun and Iwobi out for Gordon and Godfrey out for Niels. The reality is you have to play a team that is going to have the best chance of success, I believe we will see Doucoure playing and if we don’t then surely the other 3 I mentioned should be out as well.

This rest thing is absolutely rubbish players and teams are better for the more time they have together on the pitch, the table doesn’t lie we are in the position we are because of playing the best team available to us every game, your advocating not trying to win the City game because you believe no matter what team we put out we aren’t good enough, yet we have more chance of taking 3 points against WHU, luckily we didn’t adopt that attitude against Chelsea Leicester and Arsenal, we are good enough to beat any team in this league but only as long as we give it our best shot.

Evidence other teams have rotated more than us, and how do you know that they’ve got nothing left in them that isn’t a fact that’s just an assumption on your part. And try to remember these players are athletes they are fuelled through their intake to recover their energy in a day or 2 what stops them is injuries and niggles not tiredness. It will be interesting what the line up is tomorrow.

But that’s the same for all clubs it’s a fairytale to think it’s just Everton players that get tired, when the big games come up you play your best team, it’s more important to try and take points off the likes City because if you can keep them below you you’re gonna have a fighting chance to get into the top four, DCL Richarlison Doucoure Iwobi and Gylfi will be gagging to play in that game that’s what good players want to be play in the big games, not sat at home or on the bench.

But using your maxim you have to defeat your enemies to win the war, and if we consider 4th and above winning the war you can’t allow the established teams at the top take all 3 points, if we hadn’t beaten Spurs Chelsea Leicester and Arsenal they would all be above us now, that’s how important it is to take the points of these teams if you want to improve your league position. That’s just surrendering nothing to do with trying to win a game of football, I hate it when people try to pick and choose what games to go for and what ones to chuck, usually that’s what managers do who know they have a greater chance of relegation than safety, they try to plan to beat the teams that will be in and around them come the end of the season, if you have designs of trying to finish in the top four you don’t allow the team’s who are fighting for the same positions to walk all over you. Does that mean no DCL , Doucoure or Richarlison on top of the the injuries to James, Digne, Allan and possible injuries to Keane and Davies, then does Iwobi and Gylfi fall into that rotation. What are you expecting as the starting eleven in this skeleton team ?

For me he has a lot more growing to do before he’s ready to stake his place as a serious contender for a position in the squad. Not a poor first touch he just doesn’t see what’s around him he’s a defenders dream because he’s so predictable when he receives the ball, which is cut into the middle head down into a blind alley of 2-3 defenders and losing the ball, he needs to read the game and show he has more to offer than just trying to take players on and head towards the goal, because it isn’t working and he very soon become a liability. For me it’s not so much the amount of games he plays, he needs to be more expansive in the way he plays regardless of how many games he plays.

Came in did the job that was asked of him, not the best in the team but a reliable lad to bring on when you need someone to fill a hole, could he get better under Ancelotti I think so still young and receptive enough to learn more.

The best eleven available no talk of resting players because were going to lose so this would be a good opportunity to give 2-3 a rest, we have a decent record against City so let’s go it no holding players back and defeat ourselves before we step on the pitch. I believe Ancelotti is a winner and his mind set is to put the best 11 available to him out for every game.
