  1. For me he has a lot more growing to do before he’s ready to stake his place as a serious contender for a position in the squad. Not a poor first touch he just doesn’t see what’s around him he’s a defenders dream because he’s so predictable when he receives the ball, which is cut into the middle head down into a blind alley of 2-3 defenders and losing the ball, he needs to read the game and show he has more to offer than just trying to take players on and head towards the goal, because it isn’t working and he very soon become a liability. For me it’s not so much the amount of games he plays, he needs to be more expansive in the way he plays regardless of how many games he plays.
  2. Came in did the job that was asked of him, not the best in the team but a reliable lad to bring on when you need someone to fill a hole, could he get better under Ancelotti I think so still young and receptive enough to learn more.
  3. You still got a soft spot for him Mark I can feel the love in your post, won’t belong before he’s back as your profile picture
  4. The best eleven available no talk of resting players because were going to lose so this would be a good opportunity to give 2-3 a rest, we have a decent record against City so let’s go it no holding players back and defeat ourselves before we step on the pitch. I believe Ancelotti is a winner and his mind set is to put the best 11 available to him out for every game.
  5. Totally agree Bill, some are looking to rest our better players against City that is a massive defeatist attitude that belongs in the world of fairytales and Princesses, not the world of trying to beat the best teams in the league and finishing as I as you possibly can. I hope every player given the opportunity to play any game would be standing up and not sitting down.
  6. If you have a very good 10 who doesn’t follow to far back you force the team you are playing against to leave a player or players to hold and cover their position, but not so much out wide a full back would be comfortably to pass a wide player and help double up on the opposite full back, we’ve witnessed that with James and it’s cost us, but midfielders are less likely to leave opposition midfielders unmarked in a high central position, especially when that midfielder as the ability of James. Which in turn helps the 2 holding midfielders and the 2 central defenders by restricting the opposition’s midfield getting forward in mass.
  7. I’m still fighting mate for every Evertonian I ain’t ever giving up
  8. I’ve saved yours for next year mate when we can enjoy one together
  9. You make some really good points, my reasoning for wanting him to be more central than on the right I didn’t say so in my previous post bar Iwobi is good on the right and his better work is when he’s more central, is that it may release him from the burden of having to defend which way know he doesn’t like doing so much, and Iwobi does really well, just a thought that that may suit his game better we know he hurts teams in a forward position and with his vision from a central position he can spread the play better. But I’m hearing he still isn’t going to be ready for tomorrow which could be a massive miss if Richarlison doesn’t make it.
  10. We will suffer more financially than the EU countries, and our human rights will be massively eroded the EU did a lot of could things to improve welfare and life of people under it’s umbrella, the Tories are already planning to rip a lot of the rights gained by British citizens through EU laws as a way of saving money.
  11. Sadly the EU will soon realise the best thing we did for the union was leave. We won’t be wanted back in anyone’s lifetime here.
  12. I don’t know to much about Sheffield this season bar there playing shite, I haven’t seen any of there games so don’t no how they try to attack teams, But if James is to play I would want him in a forward midfield position in the centre of the park for me Iwobi on the right works better than James being there, and James does his best work when he gets in a more central position.
  13. Merry Christmas everyone it’s been a tough year for most of us, whether it’s been health family matters or work issues, so enjoy tomorrow and when I raise a class at my table to wish my family a Merry Christmas, I’ll be thinking of you guys as well.
  14. Let’s be honest the witch hunt is against Pickford not you, me, Olsen or anyone else on here, I looked at the match day thread to check if I missed your post or posts that you said you made with question for me to respond, I could have been wrong and if so would have owed you an apology.
  15. You asked the question so I looked for the answer you never challenged his mistakes in the match day thread, but you did mention a great save from Olsen, just to add balance I checked your match day threads on a few of Pickford’s last games and you were right in there as soon as a mistake happened with your criticism, why was that ? do you think you’re balanced in your fews of our goal keepers or just letting your hatred of Pickford cloud your judgment in someway. I personally have no issue with Olsen as keeper or a person all keepers make mistakes, you’d do well to remember that.
  16. Oh now you concede he made mistakes because you’ve been called out that’s big of you after the event, the difference between people who fight Pickford’s corner is they also highlight his errors, those like you who have been banging on about how good Olsen is don’t mention his mistakes very sportsman like of you I must say.
  17. Reaching for what the fucking truth? Didn’t notice you show any concerns or criticism for what Olsen did, but you would have been remarking if it was Pickford, I’m not reaching mate I’m highlighting the massive inconsistency’s of those who slag one player off but not the next for the same thing.
  18. No it isn’t it’s to highlight the complete inconsistency’s of those who would be quite prepared to slag Pickford off in game time and after for two glaring mistakes in the first 10 minutes, yet give it no mention or concerns when Olsen does, and that was the reaction from 5 or 6 of must ferment critics of Pickford, that tells me a lot about the people who slaughter Pickford on a regular basis, there criticism isn’t based on goal keeping errors solely it’s because they dislike the person and that for me is low, it’s fucking cuntish to be honest, that you haven’t got the good graces to treat people equally.
  19. Your missing the point completely, hasn’t that ever been the case with Pickford that he’s not had a bad team in front of him but typical Pickford haters one rule for him and another for Olsen, Wiggy you’ve been one of the most prolific Pickford critics constantly banging your drum when Pickford does something wrong, yet Olsen goes for a punch gets nowhere it blocking the defender who was in a good position to clear, then completely miss controls a simple back pass, and you don’t say anything don’t even acknowledge it happened, what sort of person is it that wouldn’t be able to wait to get his get rid of Pickford bollocks out there for doing that yet defends Olsen for the same thing, you tell me what sort of person does that I have my opinion but I want to hear it from the horse’s mouth?
  20. Gaffs mate stop diluting how bad he was early on, I agree he settled down the more the game went on, but that was more to do with us getting a better foothold in the game which gave him less to do, that first 10 when Utd were putting our goal under pressure he completely crumbled that’s the first time he’s had to deal with any sort of pressure and he looked a complete mess, luckily for him and us his other games he was a bit of a bystander with nothing of note to do, bar stand there and give the defence so much more confidence to do better because he was behind them
  21. Well well well what a poor performance that was I can honestly say probably the worst 10 minutes I ever witnessed from any Everton keeper in my 55 years of watching this club, obviously I haven’t witnessed every game in those years so if someone can highlight a game for me where any Everton keeper has had a worse 10 minutes than that then please do.
  22. We need to play as close as possible the team that beat Arsenal, we need to win this game to show we can bounce back from a loss, if we draw or lose we risk going on another losing streak. Imo this has become one of those games where more than 3 points are at stake this could be about who we are as a team and where we finish this season.
