I think Allerdyce knows he will never be fully accepted here and he knows he’ll be replaced in the summer- I think the players also know this and there lies part of the problem. His appointment was a terrible decision as it’s left the club with no long term stability or vision.

If that's the case, it's no different than when Unsworth was in place, other than he has had some form of job length contract, if what were told is correct.

Either was we look at it were rudderless, spineless and hopeless at the moment

It’s not possible to be more boring Sam. You have us playing the most boring football I have ever saw already.

Unsworth turned the corner, you had a few results off the back off that, then you took us back around that corner.

Spot on Shukes, boring and not winning, or even looking like we might win. Where would we have been if Unsy was still in charge?

We fell apart for the same reason we get beaten by Liverpool, battered by southampton and other shit teams.... we are mentally weak.  Whole club is a mess.

I think part of the mentality is that the players know we're so vulnerable on our left hand side. Martina is 100% liability and Siggy isn'tt a winger, let alone one who can provide cover for any full back. Spurs targeted our left side as any one would and killed us off. As others have said we were OK in the first half, second half we fell apart, same as we did against Man U ( a game we could have won IMO at half time)

By being so unbalanced on the left, Siggy is not being played in his best position, and contributes very little.

We need to get support closer to our CF, thumping the ball up from defence expecting Tosun/DCL/ anyone to be able to win the ball, hold off defenders and then create a chance is pure wishful thinking.

Being unbalanced and having a manager who's focus is snatching a 1-0 win in every game doesn't sit well and is going to make the rest of  the season a tough time, Sam is not the right man for us and I hope that he goes at the end of the season.

Also many are saying Moshiri is a fault with everything, does he sanction every signing and team sheet selection? If not colpuld someone explain why a nd how he's at fault please.

There are different tickets but you can call the box office and pay to upgrade the ticket to the right age. You wont have a problem, just pay the difference between an under 11 and ander 15 (I think it is) and you’ll be sound.

    Enjoy your trip.

Yep I did that last year, rang up beforehand, they said I could do it on the day when I collected them, on collection I mentioned it, and the guy on the desk  said don't bother it will be fine, couple of quid saved!

  5. I was lucky enough to be at the game last night, albeit in with the wrong crowd, we got tickets from a relative who holds a senior position in a major broadcaster.

we were in the Dalglish stand, totally surrounded by home fans, I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life, not being able to vent my emotion, and hearing the vile abuse of everything Everton related, we got some dirty looks when we couldn't suppress a muted "get in" when Siggy equalised. It was brilliant hearing our supporters throughout the game while sitting with the home crown, but I so wished we could have been in with them.

Liverpool were there for the taking last night, particularly after we equalised, Sam should have kept DCL on and gone two upfront, McCarthy and Bolasie were gassed and needed replacing.

Niasse should have been covering the post when they scored, basic error.

Martina was dreadful, he either  gave the ball away, or failed to win his tackles, failed to put any crosses in.

Rooney was stupid, early bad tackle made when no real pressure put him on thin ice for the rest of the game.

Holgate clearly thought he had been verbally abused, on TV. Replay you can see how he responds when he hears whatever was said, clearly incensed, and if true, it will be interesting to see if as mention earlier how his teammates will respond.

But he's been out a long time and may not be the player he was when/if he goes. He definitely shouldn't get a shout in the  first team this season if he's going.

spot on, I'm not even sure he will get much game time at any of the top 6 clubs he clearly thinks he should be playing for, not unless they want a player who slows attacks down, whilst turning round in circles.

  7. A full back who can use their left foot will be a start,  while we have had to resort to Martina ( who frightens me every time he is near the ball he's so unpredictable) anyone who plays in front of him has had to spend more time covering him rather than playing their own game ( Siggy springs to mind) and it unbalances the team. Koemans failure to register Garbutt was a major error IMO, he would surely have provided a better balance to the side.

Yesterday’s weird McCarthy on for Rooney substitution - which surprisingly worked to our benefit - makes me wonder whether It might make weird sense to use Rooney-McCarthy substitution periodically or even regularly.

Neither player should play more than 60-70 minutes, if that.  My guess is that most on TT desperately hope McCarthy can play regularly - as both Gana and Schneiderlin have plenty of critics - but agree with Matt that it's dangerous to push him.  Rooney divides opinions: some  think he’s past it, whereas others (including me) think he’s a key playmaker, especially playing deep and roving.  I’d like to see some of these scenarios:

    1. Rooney starts, playing deep as playmaker, with a single DM (Schneiderlin or Gana).  If Everton lead at 60 minutes, bring on McCarthy to replace him, giving us 2 DMs to protect lead.  If Everton are behind, replace Rooney with an attacker from bench.

    2. McCarthy starts, either as single DM or paired with another DM or (preferably) Davies.  Rooney on bench.  If we lead at 60-65 minutes, replace McCarthy with a DM.  If behind, bring on Rooney or some other attacker.

Agree with all of the above bar Schniederlin, he's afraid of playing the ball forward and make far too many weak tackles at the moment, I know he's better but we're just not seeing it on the pitch.

I loved McCarthys emerging and hard tackles, as teamwe need to do more and stop allowing the opposition time on the ball.

  9. 2 points from 12,  with virtually no shots on target, we would be calling for Koeman or Unsworth heads by now if they were still in position.

He set us up yesterday to absorb all pressure and let Utd pass across the park, hopefully not allowing any through balls, first half work, they only had a couple of long range efforts, and I thought we were in with a chance of a victory, they didn't look that good to me.

2nd half they started to play through the lines better,, we failed to respond, with  Rooney clearly struggling after being ill and needed replacing, Niasse just can't play the lone striker, McCarthy brought some bite into the side and we started to play more attacking but we're undone by some self inflicted errors, should have played 2 up front once were we're behind, keeping Niasse on and Schniederlin instead.
