  1. Take the 919 Goodison dedicated bus from outside the Marriott Hotel on  St Johns Lane which is just outside Lime St, drops you off in from of Goodison and gives a good first moment for your son to see the ground, go into the fan zone which is in front of the park end and soak up the atmosphere, and take a walk down Goodison Rd before you go in, still excites me each time. Have a great day, and a win!

Schneiderlin is the epitome of a footballer with zero interest in the game who is financially secure.

Seen loads of them over the years. They end up playing out their final years at somewhere like QPR on an inflated contract getting slated.

Has no heart and for me, if he gets booed for not putting any effort in then I'm absolutely fine with that.

How the fuck can be player have the audacity to throw in 40% effort in front of 40000 fans?? How!

This For me, he has become the master of the easy option of sideways or backward passing, rather than trying to create, and jogging alongside the opposition when a tackle should be put in.

  3. Possibly the first game this season that I felt we were going to win from the first few minutes in. We seemed to play the easy pass more often and not putting ourselves in trouble unnecessarily, apart from a couple of occasions, Mangalas under hit back pass being one of them. I felt we played more as a team unit, I even will go as far to say Martina had a good game, grenated he wasn't tested too much.

The only player that looked uncomfortable for me was Keane, it took him well in to the second half to win a header, and his distribution was awful, rabbit in headlights springs to mind, he clearly is lacking confidence.

Theo drives us forward at every opportunity and with menace, his link up play with both Coleman and Kenny was good and holds well for the future.

Niasse ran his ass off, very unorthodox but caused Palace problems all the way through the game.

Rooney, Gana and Davies ran the midfield well, probably our best option at the moment, and a good game from Siggy, he seems to be settling in OK now.

Pickford was Pickford, solid and gives a feeling of confidence, his distribution was better then in recent weeks.

Only dissapointment was not seeing Tosun getting some game time, yesterday was the ideal time to build his confidence after the third goal, we could have dropped Rooney or Davies deeper to play Ganas role at that stage.

More of the same at Watford please

  4. Palfy, good points put well, thanks.

i think I agree with you, but and it's a big but, Schniederlin has been such a big let down this season, he doesn't show any intent to make his mark on the game, he just seems to drift through it, passing sideways or backwards, and avoiding any real tackles. He looks like a totally different player to the one we bought when he first arrived, and it frustrates the hell out of me.

As it stands I'd rather have Gana playing, yes he looses his position etc, but he does get stuck in and breaks up play,  he's also won the ball back on a couple  of occasions which have led to a goal ( Stoke first game of the season springs to mind)

As most are saying it's a case of either playing one or the other but not both at the same time, It just doesn't work.

I genuinely find it disconcerting that PeteO and myself are the only ones who speak out against him, he's that poor I know we can't be the only two who have doubts over is abilities or lack of.

Not many like to give critique on players which is fair enough, but I know there are a few who can see with out the help of stats that don't always show a true picture if a player is good enough for this team, and I truly believe if people really think he's good enough then our standards have dropped to an all time low, now I don't want people to think I just have a personal hate of him cause I don't, my problem with him is simple he is not good enough for this club we deserve far better.

And the acceptance of players like him is why we find ourselves were we are, we can't play out of the position we find ourselves in with players of his standard that want happen, especially when the opposition's players are better.

Simple question for you Palfy and PeteO.

Gana or Schniederlin, which one do you think is better for Everton?

This falls fairly and squarely on the manager. He's the leader. He's the one who inspires, who encourages, who cajoles, who praises, who sympathizes, who gets everyone to pull together for the good of the team. It comes with the job. Blaming players is, quite simply, pathetic and abrogating responsibility. If you must resort to blaming your team, you've failed as a leader. It's as simple as that.

Nailed it on the head for me here Steve

  7. He is a deluded fool of a man. He thinks that he can change the team formation and the players around each game and expect them to be able to play together as a unit. Add to that he coats himself in an extra layer of teflon each day, to ensure that none of the blame sticks to him. If he had come out after the game yesterday and said " we'll I got that wrong" I'd possibly have some respect for him, but he's laying it 100% on the players after making changes and talking about being consistent.

it all beggars belief, we need to get rid now, there's only one way he is taking the club, and it's the wrong way.

No and I have already mentioned the whole confidence thing.

I don' get the "FFS" when I have put a balanced argument forward to which part of your argument against me being wrong is one of the reasons I gave?

Because it was my first reaction on reading the post, it comes over as being overly critical of Jon Joe, if you thought it was a balanced argument, why not be more positive towards his future capabilities rather than being critical of his first 20 or so games in the top flight.

Could possibly have been put over in a less negative way.

The thing I noticed about Kenny and Coleman from last night is just how much more confident Coleman is to go forward. Defensively, there isn'ttt that much difference but in attack, Kenny just doesn't have the same confidence to get forward and provide the outlet. I have seen him under Unsy in the U23s and he is on his bike at every opportunity but he never went forward with the same freedom in the first team.

Ultimately I am not sure if he will be good enough to really be Coleman's replacement but I would like to see him in a positive side and see if he is any closer to filling Coleman's boots.

FFS are you expecting miracles  in his first season? he's still learning his trade, and has had to do in a side totally lacking in confidence, he's been the one player who's shown a bit of spirit this season
