  1. Yesterday was more than just a bad day at the office, it was the culmination of Koeman messing about with team selection and formation, the back 3 was he selected was never going to be able to hold firm against Arsenals speed and passing skills, they were waltzing through us immediately. If didn't change all game, the players are afraid of themselves and taking a shot, DCL gave his all, he will develop in to a good striker I think.

ive not watched Sanchez live before, but having seen him yesterday he's a littlesh*t, he was telling the ref where we were to take our free kicks from and asking for a card at every tackle, how he didn't get a card himself baffles me, and the worst bit is we let him get away with it all game, a team with confidence wouldn't have let that happen.

left the ground feeling totally disinterested, and will feel the same until Koeman goes. Can't say I'm enjoying my first year  as season ticket holder.

  2. Pickford, stopped it from being a total whitewash, could have easily been 10 or more. DCL Arab his heart out and pressed forcing a few errors, Gana good energy and a few good tackles, then made his usual error of being on the wrong side and making a tackle.

not a lot to be happy with, unless it gets Koeman out and quickly please.

    Fair enough.

I'm not sure what to make of all this. We frequently gave Moyes time to right the ship and he did, we gave Martinez plenty of time and he didn't.

We're clearly missing the big #9 needed to play Koeman's system/how we want to play, so I'm not sure what we can do to get around that right now. The players are starting to show some fight, but are still painfully unclinical.

Needless to say, I think the calls for Unsworth are basically calls to see some fight from the team, but I think we're starting to see that, so I'm not changing the manager will help. Needless to say, if we are still 16th or 17th in another 4-5 fixtures, it would be foolish not to leans towards a change.

I think that's exactly where we will be, I can't see any changes or improvement from Koeman in the way he is motivating and setting the team up, he looks like a defeated man, a stubborn one who won't do the decent thing and resign accepting he's got the whole process wrong here. I can understand people's concerns about Unsy being ready, but he's 44, not a kid, if he's ever going to be good enough to be a top manager, now is the time for him to do it imho

  4. He blew hot and cold yesterday for me, he made some awful errors, climbing over the back of Wood on a few occasions, poor passes out of defence, one awful attempted pass forward that ran straight out of play near the new of the game, he then pulled his shirt over his head, does he really think we can't see him if he does that, he's meant to be a grown man and leader, he's certainly not showing that in any way or form this season. Every time he had to chase a Burnley player he looked totally gassed after it.

Then he made some good blocks and a couple of strong headers, and I could hear him shouting at the other players.

I think he needs to be given a rest from the starting line up, get fit and get his head sorted, we may even be able to get some money back on him in January.

  5. To add to my post earlier on his effort in winning the ball back for his first goal,  would Sandro have competed with the goalie the way he did to force th 2nd goal ?

Yep he's rough but he seems to have the determination to make it work, not sure how much game time he's had in the two games, but 3 goals is a pretty god return when we're in desperate need of them.

lets hope Koeman uses him to best effect.

  6. Awful display today, we played very narrow, Spurs always had an outlet with both their full backs, I lost count on how many times they sprayed the ball out to Davies on the touchline, Martina was nowhere near him, Kane won every header and held up the ball well.

We were OK up to the first goal, which looked like a misplaced cross, I thought we were going to give them a game, after that we fell apart and lost all confidence.

2nd half we were clapping the players for keeping the ball in play, that's about it.

Williams, Martina and Klassen very poor, Sandro took some heavy knocks.

like everyone else, I'm concerned on where we go from here.

  7. I'm not impressed with Koemans after match statement, "we need a striker" that's been known since Lukaku left, Sandro was always an unknown prospect. He's now pretty much announced we're desperate, we're going to held to ransom over it.

We should have bought an experienced CF early in the window with a view to offloading if Sandro and DCL are able to step up( which I think DCL will do, and much sooner than Sandro if he does at all on what we've seen so far)

Dzeko or Giroud who may have second thoughts after Arsenals showing yesterday!

  8. Shukes, you forgot Martina

I'm thinking that they need a few more games together to show what Koemans looking for, Rooney seems too desperate to force an impact rather than it happening instinctively, Sandro has a lot of energy, needs to learn how to stay on his feet ( same as Barkley), Keane will settle in, and Pickford looks confident already and will continue to grow in stature.

There's still something missing, I'll,be happy with Sigi for £40m or less, over that and we're being fleeced, and a big strong CF ( no not Deeney )

  9. Patience on the LB/CB and ST. Koeman surely waiting until Europa League progression. They aren't required (numbers-wise, we can argue talent elsewhere) if we don't progress. Also EL group stage gives him bargaining chip with potential signings. He clearly wants Sigurdsson regardless.

That makes a lot of sense to me, well said
