  1. Sorry but that was right on his chest, bounced 5 ft off him. It's just not good enough.
  2. Ideal time for Lukaku, use his pace and size.
  3. If I had a stream that worked I would chime in.
  4. If it ain't there now it ain't gonna be. This is a motor skill that should have been harnessed at a younger age, my guess is that he was so big versus his opponents of a same age it didn't matter. If someone threw tennis balls at me would I get better now? No. In Andre aggassi book he indentified the hours returning high speed balls fired at him as a 10 year old as the reason he was considered the best return of serve in the game. Motor skills peak at a younger age.
  5. Decision making is an expected development requirement at the age of 21 and gets better with age. controlling a football and passing it accurately is something that should not be missing at that age. No one criticises roms decision making, just his awful touch.
  6. Barry isn't playing a box to box role - Osman is. Barry sits in front of back 4 and slots into fullback when Baines bombs on. Barry hasn't got pace but he has stamina, Osman has neither.
  7. twinged hamstring will do. Don't like wishing injuries on people.
  8. referring to his ability to carry the ball at pace from the back/middle which he does well. Its when he receives the ball in an advanced position with defenders aroung him that he delays passes.
  9. Strange enough I think we will beat them. Without sturridge and suarez they are lacking that threat up front. We will score against them more than once.
  10. If we all picked players based on what we see on MOTD we would have bought Scott Parker the year his legs went, we would have Ian Nolan, and countless other players that look good on a highlights reel. I don't think Howard is an exceptional keeper, he is a good keeper who will make the mistakes that other good keepers make. Mignolet looks great on MOTD but when you watch his his command of the area is awful.
  11. As much as I love Osman its a young mans game. Look at Gerrard the other night, over taken by runners every time. All the quality in the world counts for nothing in a position where you need to be athletic enough to support the team. Dembele is a classy operator and a physically dominant player.
  12. Probably go and give them a good hiding. I hope Martinez has let rip at the players, they are starting to blot his copy book and he looks like a soft touch to those outside of the dressing room. I'm sure he's not, but he needs to start being more stern.
  13. Its an intersting situation isn't it.... Barkley out and we concede goals by the bucket load. Does he stop other teams committing themselves as much due to his ability to create quick counter attacks? Does this counter threat make teams think twice? Personally I love watching the lad in full flow, some things are worth more than money, he reminds me of the days when we watched Rooney swagger around as a 17 year old.
  14. Its a concern of mine and leaves me open to attacks from those who questioned Martinez's apparent defensive weaknesses at Wigan which I dismissed as a matter of "quality and injuries". He has no real excuses as far as i'm concerned. If its the players faults then he has to be accountable for sorting out whatever needs to be sorted.
  15. I'm pretty sure Tim is doing a very good job of beating himself up right now lads...
  16. I heard that too. £50m would make me sit up and listen but in all honesty when we are spending £28m on Lukaku I really don't think it represents a "snatch their hands off" bid. It all depends on Ross, if he can bottle up his magic, get his brain sharper in terms of decision making then he is potentially priceless. But if he keeps getting injuries, struggles with inconsistent form and loses more development time it could represent a smart bit of business.
  17. £30m??? Lallana went for £25m. Lazy journalism.
  18. I give Lukaku credit for his goals, I also manage to post on other topics. I'll say it now, if Howard has a few more game like his last then yes let's look at a new number one.
  19. Hello Robles lad, apparently you will start tomorrow night, notice you weren't on here the other night. Anything other than Howard you want to talk about?
  20. From a supplent perspective here's my two cents:- Protein powder - essential, on a diet and heavy training schedule mix it up with oats and milk, 250,calories which gives you a healthy meal replacement Fish oils:- excellent for the brain, insulin sensitivity, muscle gains Creatine:- it works, the only natural supplement that will make you stronger. Caffeine:- forget £30 pre workout supplements, caffeine is the magic ingredient. Green tea:- forget £30 fat loss capsules, green tea combined with caffeine is all you need. Suppresses appetite and speeds up metabolic rate.
  21. And I can at last take a deep breath, it's not about being right it's about highlighting an ability to receive plaudits and zero criticism based on goals alone. Yes, that is the problem and it will take some ironing out. There's more than him at fault, I'm looking at you Mr Martinez. Sort this shit out.
  22. But he's got 2 in 6 now... That's my whole beef with him. Need a keeper to push howard_, !Martinez needs to sort defense out or get a defensive coach.
  23. Yeah he's shit Brett... Keeper has a bad game syndrome. Howard out...
  24. Never doubted the lad in front of goal. I'm a harsh critic with an understanding of what forward play is about, if he becomes the player he can then great, but there is work to be done.
