I think clubs are smelling blood and want to cash in as for the PL, flexing their muscles at our expense before taking on the big boys maybe. I did wonder if allowing the likes of City and Chelsea to carry on as they have is to stop any further talk of a breakaway European super league or whatever it was called.

Fantastic result. I must admit when we went one up I would have taken a point. Starting to look like a team with some confidence now.

The ref made more mistakes than Dyche for sure.

To use a racing parlance. I would use the cup as schooling in public, resting a few and introducing some who haven’t had a lot of game time. Premiership survival must come first. Three points at the weekend was fantastic but let’s keep our feet on the ground.

I must admit I thought we would get a bending today. Having lost by the one goal doesn’t feel too bad the defending was much better and as previously said the midfield just couldn’t find teammates with passes or lost possession cheaply.

I thought he would have gone for sure. Certainly would have helped the wage bill.

If he can reproduce some of the form he showed not to mention some stunning goals after joining us. He could be a big help and have a part to play.

I think we probably paid twice what he was worth. Cant think of anybody giving the ball to the opposition on such a regular basis. Are we certain he has gone yet.

I was expecting a couple of new players today but looking like zilch.

Certainly a confidence booster for Sheffield at the weekend, whoever plays. Three points before the break would be like a new start and hopefully push on.
