  1. Hi, saw in the mirror a few days ago that wolves would lose Kevin Doyle if relegated and we would be in for him. My Wolves supporting friend raves about him 24/7 but ill be honest I haven't followed anything of Wolves this season, anyone rate him?
  2. I was sitting in a smokey bar in Abu Dhabi for the previous Hull game. the only Everton shirt(that day glow yellow effort) in a sea of expat red shizzel, almost had a stand up argument with the door geezer to get him to put the right channel on... needless to say it was an uncomfortable night. I miss that place! Rock on 'Heroes Bar', Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi hehe. !!!COYB!!!
  3. I see nobody has commented on that odius little worm Craig Bellamy. A man of above average ability (despite his own belief that he is pele, maradona and eusabeio rolled into one) after having a fantastic game, scoring two different types (but equally brilliant) goals he goes and shows who he really is by punching a fan! now dont get me wrong, im not sticking up for the guy who invaded the pitch (well done idiot, at least the last game you'll ever watch at old trafford was a good one) but lets face it, he being dragged away by two coppers before that coward decided to smack him one, simply coz man u had scored and he wanted someone to hit! of course Hughes will defend his actions and nothing will be done... imagine what Moyesy would do if one of our players did that! man city=classless
  4. unbeliveable! that type of behaivour disgusts me. 4-0 down wioth a minute to go and he does that to get someone sent off. dispicable. i couldn't put the shirt on coz i dont think id be able to stop myself decking him for real after the card!
  5. Hi, I know the subject is being done to death on other threads and such, but reading the mirror today, Seeing JL writing a begging letter to Bill Kenwright to leave Everton.... makes me feel physically sick. Now I know he'll be offered stupid wages at Shitty but its not like he's a poorper here at Everton After all it was us who took the chance and developed him into the player he has become. I'm not saying he had nothing to do with his 7 caps and so forth, but the hard work of the staff, Moysie and the adulation of the fans also must have played a major factor. to want a move is fair enough but the way this is turning out is a kick in the teeth for the club and the fans :-( Very dissapointing im just glad Man Shitty havent turned thier attentions to arguably the best defender at the club in Jags, I'd like to think he would turn around and tell them to get knotted (i see him as Evertons next captain, i really do) but who knows in this day and age.
  6. it seems inevitable, and how could you head not be turned for 200k a week. however people saying 'its a good deal' whatever. that man is oe of our irriplacables, whats the point of having money in the bank if the team is weakened.... im totally gutted im willing to put on a shiny liney pound on with any man shitty fan that we will STILL come above them in the league next season.... a plethora of superstars playing for themselves/a payday does not a champion side make!
  7. A sad day indeed. My childhood football memories were shaped by 2 managers, Howard Kendall and The great Sir Bobby Robson, thank you for 1990 Sir Bob, RIP.
  8. loved the last few.... that one isn't the best though...i wont be buyin
  9. as for the lowest attendance, I dont think you can blame the Evertonions for that mate.... we were there in force! If we had double the allocation we would have filled it!
  10. to answer the question, I was listenin to 606 last week , you had your typical Geordie fan on, bemoaning thier situation, then claiming they had more right to be in the prem then Hull, or wigan or Blackburn et al. Why? >Obviously because they are a big club >they have loads of fans >they have a big stadium ......... Now maybe its just me but surely the right to play in the premiership involves getting more points then at least 3 other teams over 38 games? Its the arrogance that comes with success, however when you dont have the success to back it up then fans of the 'lesser' teams start to really root against you (a bit like calling your city rivals a 'small club') also with the absolute Dumpness of the teams around them it really was harder to go down then stay up but big Al managed it... do yourself a favour mate, theres a nice creosoted fence seat in a studio waiting for you next season (ask Andy Gray for some advice on that one) take it! (i hear Gary L has been keeping it warm with an electric blanket for you ) I cheered when the final whistle went today, I do however want them to come back up (not next season, but maybe the season after) after the fans learn a little humility. my final word on the matter..... BY BYE CAR-TOON ARMY
  11. Hi, Just watched the Champions league Semi (Chelsea vs Barca) Wether you are neutral or not after seeing a refereeing performance like that you cant help but feel for the Chelsea players (eurghhh that actually hurt to say that) and the fans. 3 blatant (and i mean BLATANT) pens turned away... you cant help thinking he woulda disalowed thier goal too if he could have. Platini will be happy tonight
  12. everywhere in the country that isn't the merseyside area forgets that there are more teams in the world then the big 3, red sh!t$, celtic and AC Milan... your best bet would be to buy it online from everton clubshop and have it delivered to your hotel mate.
  13. I want to mirror everyones feelings about this, Jags has been our best player this season however Yobo is a very good replacment. but this isn't about being weakend for the final this is about someone who has given sweat, tears and now blood for this club. Since he got here he has been the model professional from when he couldn't break into the team to the moment he took his chance and went from strength to strength. He has been immense this season 'Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' personified (Premiership team of the year is Ferdinand and Vidic, total Manc suck up BS!) In my opinion Jags is the next Captain in waiting, a Dave Watson, Kevin Ratcliffe, Brian Labone roled into one... I wish him a speedy recovery and when we lift the cup against Chelski next month I hope he, Mik and the Yak will be on the pitch for the limp of honour ;-)
  14. Hi everyone, if you haven`t got todays papers yet grab hold of the Observer some good coverage of todays game including a 2 page interview with Tim Cahill.... choice quote.... Q. Would you ever consider a move to Liverpool if they came in for you? A. Never, never never! No money in this world could ever convince me to play for Liverpool. Thats not a lack of respect for the fans or the club. It's for the respect for the Everton Supporters. You just can't do that. Morally, it's not right. It gooes against everything I stand for. No chance. might send a copy to Hull care of Mr N Barmby.
  15. Anyone else here Irritated with the fact that Villa Treat the Uefa Cup with such open contempt. We work hard to qualify, get a Crappy draw against a Champions League level team and get booted out. Villa dont even try to put a strong team for it !!Grrr!!
  16. wanted to say my point 1st.... all this 'you acting like you won the champs league', 'the game means nothing to us anyway' rubbish being spouted by reds at the moment really is quite pathetic. it smacks of play ground sour grapes, the kid who gets his apple taken away then screams 'yeah well i didnt want it anyway'! they cant seem to be dignified in either victory or defeat (well done Moyesy for that nice little dig in the after match press conference- along with a very fair review of the game, unlike the waiters usual 'its not my fault, its not fair, we were robbed' statement) a little aside.... i was in the Upper Gwladys, my brother in the bullins with a dirty red shirt on. lots of banter txt's, he asked for a lift home after the game at half time... then for some reason i could'nt get hold of him at full time....phone off, no where to be seen at the meeting point.... strange considering reds don't care about the Derby anymore PS... a little up the thread a blue seemed to have a go at a red for being from the Wirral.... I'm from the Wirral, living in the Midlands, does that make me any less of a Blue then someone born and bred in the District of Everton??? , my friend i was at the game with is Brummy born and bred, as yam yam as they come, yet he is pretty much THE most passionate Everton fan I have ever met. travelling from Birmingham to Goodison season ticket in hand untill he Joined the forces and could commit every weekend, is he any less of a blue coz of where he was born? anyways my rant over.
  17. 1 instruction today Marouane, Just 1.... DO NOT GET BOOKED! I'll bring my boots to the derby games hey, we are so short i might need em!
  18. I will never, ever forget the Everton fans. The support I have received from the people of Liverpool is special. Everton fans are part of my blood because of the way they have stood by me. Their loyalty to me is one of the main reasons why I love Everton so much. the legend that is Duncan Ferguson
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/7398245.stm confirmed on the BEEB's website too. also some promising talk on new players (however ill beleive it when i see them with the shirt in thier hands at the press conference)
  20. sorry im in one of those 'oh god its all going to go wrong' moods, love you really keith lol
  21. Well its time to read between the lines again.... Keith Wyness interview... "We've over performed the last few years, certainly in terms of the budget we've had. "It'll get harder and harder, but we are going to do our best to compete." [i never thought we'd do as well as we did now were are screwed because we have'nt got any money, hopefully Moyesy can pull off a few more miracles (if we ever offer him another contract), if not tough S^!t guys and girls] "Since I've been here we've broken the transfer record three times" [we got enough for one good player...hope its enough to compete with Spurs, Aston Villa and even Manchester 'even if we had 1 billion pounds we'd still be rubbish' City, but deep down I know it's not] "We would always like to get players in before pre-season, to give them a chance to gel and meet their team-mates," he said. "That's always the target, but it doesn't always work out like that, so you do your best and I'm afraid things often change on a minute-by-minute basis in the summer." [we have trouble finishing off the most simplest of transfers, in fact I'm surprised we ever sign anyone, weird ain't it]
  22. someone mentioned getting to the quarter finals of the uefa cup would be a success. personally we were fully capable of winning that trophy this year. let alone next. afterall we beat the winners and one dreadfull performance against Foirentina ruiened it for us. if we are not challanging for it next season i will be dissapointed. as for the league. it will be tough. the teams around us ALL seem to have found a stash of gold from somewhere. Spurs will be trying to buy there way to success again (only this time they have a capable manager...a big worry) villa again have one of the best managers in the league but looks like the scum have poached thier best player and i have doubts weather abolerhor can cut it in the long run) so in my view... a good season will be european qualifaction a trip to wembly REAL progress in the uefa cup a great seaon would be 4th spot domestic silverware uefa cup residing in our trophy cabinet ABOVE ALL ELSE secure Moysey on a long term contract and support him in what direction he wants the club to go!
  23. would make a good signing but cardiff want £8MIL !!!!!! jesus! perfect example of why there are so many foreigners in the prem pee taken bar-stwards
  24. new chelsea kit sucks a$$ 'nuff said i like the way the kits seem to have been getting darker. more like the royal blue it should be (anyone remember that awfull one 2 one shirt!) please dont copy the chelsea design
  25. if his career is over who's for starting a petition for a testimonial after all 'that' goal kept us up all those years ago and its always good to look after players fallen on harder times.
