  1. Everyone knows about Dean and rightly so! Pehaps these don't qualify for the title 'ultimate'......but where would we be today without. Howard Kendall. The 80's squad....1984-85 the finest season in the history of Everton fc. Graeme Stuart. Kevin Campbell. The last two names might be unknown to some, but they might not be on this site if it were not for Stuarts and Campbells goals.
  2. If City wee set to sell Lescott, I can't see their asking price being much lower than £10 milion.
  3. Could Fellaini be out to impress today! a match winning peformance today would be advantages to the big man. He seems to like the big games and the headlines tonight will be all about him....with a bit of luck! Moyes v Mancini usually has a good outcome.........though to be honest another 'poxy' draw wouldn't be a disaster. ps. note to Mr Lescott, if you fancy a return to Goodison and you get the chance today, an own goal would be nice.
  4. City could pay the wages Fellaini will be able to command, they would be able to offer him champions league football and the promise of trophies (possibly).....Lescott is getting towards his last year on contract and he's not a youngster, would City if they were desperate to get Fellaini (ahead of United and Chelsea) offer a deal such as Lescott + 18/20 million.Thy do have plenty of money, Lescott is out of favour and we do hold the trump card (Fellaini). Thing is would Lescott + 18/20 million be better than a straight £30million for Fellini?
  5. I'd have him back, for the right price. He played better for us than he ever has for City. Can't see us getting a good price though.........after what they paid
  6. Hello Dan, how did you discover Everton? What do you like about this great club! That's enough questions.......welcome
  7. Went for Baines, to me he's the glue of what is a team with great potential. He has to be on of the best attacking full backs to ever pull on an Everton shirt. Pienaar obviously helps bring out the best in him, and he also had a good game last night. They all played, couple of them looked rusty as you'd expect. At times we gave Arsenal a lesson in passing, and they (Arsenal) will be glad they left with a point. Keep the lads fit, get a tad of luck and there are some good times ahead.

    Arsenal

Should be a free flowing attacking game, with plenty of goals. Both teams need to keep on the shirt tails of the mighty West Brom. A win would ease the pain of recent weeks, probably the midfield battle will decide, Fellaini could make all the difference, that and Mirallas back. Not sure how I'd view another draw, to be honest we really do need to win this one.
  9. Exactly! I voted for Baines for no other reason than the clips I've seen from the match. Was in London, never even knew the score till about 5:30.....was gutted (too many Norwich mates). I've been at games usually in the corner by the church, where you can't really guage some of the passes and runs off the ball.To pick out the man of the match TV has to come out on top 7/10 times, but as mentioned above football is subjective. I want my man of the match against Arsenal to be Jellavic..............for obvious reasons!
  10. For some unexplained reason, Everton under Moyes have a habit of coming on strong in the second part of the season, perhaps we aren't too badly placed for a similar outcome.

    Norwich

We should all know by now! Moyes is never, never anything to do with a defeat or a poor performance! After all, he has nothing to do with the tactics of any given team he puts out and he certainly isn't responsible for any substitutions during the game I personally like Moyes, but to say he plays no part in a defeat or poor performance is complete rubbish. You need to get a grip

    Reading

Have you not been watching us throw away points, whilst plenty of teams below us are actually winning games.IF Norwich actually beat us they will be three points behind us.You might be happy with that stat.....2nd half at Reading was the worst this team has played, you can trap off about injuries all you want, the players out there on Saturday in the 2nd half let the fans down, Moyes motivates those players, the buck stops with him. What don't you understand about Moyse' job?...who do you think did the half time talk at Reading. So you think we've been getting decent results in the few weeks, I don't.As for getting a grip, I'll make my comments as I please, Prick!

    Reading

I can't find one word of that I don't agree with!.......and it doesn't make me happy. Ok, probably Moyes wouldn't be able to argue with it either, so, nice team Dave, now stop reading about how good your doing and fucking well get a grip. Two or three more weeks like this and we will be a couple of points above the bottom three. I know a few Norwich fans......and they're not coming up next week for a point!

    Reading

Well done Reading, riding your luck is all part of the game. Get well soon Gibson, Mirallas and.........bring back Nev!

    Reading

We've played better than this and have lost!........not sure where this is going. Think if we get 2nd before half time we should be safe.
  16. Good read.......Fellaini + chest, now = £40 million.

    Reading

Do we make it 7 games in a row we've gone behind?, I wouldn't bet against it. Reading can't afford to lose many more, so pretty soon they will be throwing caution to the wind and just go for it, a couple of teams will get caught out by this. Calm head at the back and Fellaini and Jelavic on form, should I think, be too much for Reading. Baines and Pienaar as ever to carve their defence to shreds.
  18. Peter, you could nearly turn that into a quiz, but, that's another section of this forum.......all just a bit of fun. A 'knife' has been mentioned, but don't worry, everyones safe . Now back to Neville, do you think he still has a job to do at Everton?
  19. There was a time for Cahill to go, and there will be a time for Nev to step down.To be honest Neville does still have the odd good moment, Cahill really probably stayed a tad too long.We improved (as a team) when Cahill left and we didn't have to factor in his old playing style. I'd like to see Nev inspire and help the younger lads, from the changing room and the bench. We haven't got a big squad and I can see Neville still around next season.I think he can still do a job for us on the pitch, limited position, limited time.
  20. "The knife came down, missing him by inches, and he took off".........He who lives by the knife..........dyes by the knife! You better check that!, I might have made a mistake
  21. Could have been Andy Gray......one of the 80's boys.As for your thoughts on the FA cup, can't believe Moyes isn't 100% after it, got pretty close the other year.
  22. The more I think about it..........your probably right
