  1. Yeah good post Agree it was a very dissapointing window after expectations were raised with the Fer saga but the reaction of some Evertonians on twitter last night was ridiculous We certainly could have done with boosting the squad with a couple of players but the knee jerk reaction and whining from some of them was absurd. Arsenal brought in a LB Ive never heard of, Spurs brought in Holtby and The Shite got Sturridge and the Brazilizn lad, as good as those players may be does that really mean our season is over and all hope of 4th gone?

  3. I dont think there is an Evertonian on the planet that isnt frustrated, and most of them hadnt even heard of the player last week!
  4. All these people who are complaining that the club have handled this badly or are in some way to blame would also be the first in the queue to hang Kenwright out to dry if we blew £8.6M on a crock
  5. Yeah Im with you on this I just want to know who it was that put the tackle in that injured Fer's knee Was in BK with a sliding tackle, was it Moysie with a two footed cruncher ar maybe Elstone going over the top of the ball?

  7. Just about every transfer you here about is announced pending personal terms & a medical so its hardly an Everton trait
  8. To be fair the club announced that we had agreed a deal pending personal terms and a medical , he has failed the medical so its only right the the club should look to protect its investment
  9. Given Evertons tight finances I think it would be irresponsible of the club to take chances
  10. I know its frustrating but how can you possibly blame this on the club? Surely Everton are doing the right thing, would you rather they just ignored the medical advice?
  11. Greg O'Keeffe‏@GregOK Further on Leroy Fer. #EFC still willing to agree on £8.6m deal in principle but due to knee issue want chunk to be based on appearances
  12. Greg O'Keeffe‏@GregOK #EFC bid to sign Leroy Fer is hanging in the balance after medical reveals knee problems. Full story here: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2013/01/29/everton-move-for-dutch-international-leroy-fer-in-balance-after-medical-shows-up-injury-problem-100252-32707378/ …
  13. This If its true that the medical has uncovered a problem would people prefer us to just say ah fook it lets give them all our money anyway?

  15. Thats the entire point, we didnt turn to Heitinga to win the game, we turned to Felli and Osman, the fact Johhny scored was just a bonus He thought Felli would be more efffective than Vellios and given his form this season I would tend to agree. We were lucky to still be in the game because for the majority of the match Bolton were the better side, but to say it was a lucky substition is the naive part in my eyes Luck obviously plays a part in any game of football but he made a tactical change that worked. Jelavic wasnt getting a sniff so was completely ineffective. Osman playing in a more advanced role gave us the initiative and Felli was the man who kept the ball in play to tee Hietinga up so I would say it was a pretty effective change
  16. If he has been playing second fiddle to Roy Caroll he must be pretty poor

  18. We were pushing to win the game and we did ib fact win it so his tactical change worked
  19. John Heitinga‏@Johnheitinga Leroy #Fer is an athletic dynamic midfielder with great skills! He plays for the Dutch national team and will make #Everton stronger. #COYB

  21. Im not having a pop at people watching the game on streams/TV but maybe you couldnt see the change in formation when Hietinga came on It was pretty obvious it was not a defensive move you could see that by the shape of the team. People who are just looking at the fact we replaced a forward with a CB need to look beyond that and see the bigger picture, if you will forgive the pun! Jelavic had absolutely no joy all game so Felli was pushed up to replace him and cause a bit of havoc. Johnny took over the holding midfielder role which released Osman to move into a more advanced role. Ok he didnt put Johnny on thinking he would personally grab the winner but Osman, who had been having a shocker, suddenly started getting into the game and looking more like the Osman we know and Felli was involved in the chaos in their area that led to the goal. So I would say his tactics were spot on and to call it pure luck is ignorant
