  1.

So Moyes gets praise for his good work so we let him off with the bad.

Kendall doesnt get recignition for his good work and only gets called on for the bad?

Yes the situation is different at the club and has been from all three of Kendalls stints and Moyes stint. But when Moyes has a trophy cabinet to match our most successful manager I will then consider him as good as Kendall. Until then Kendall has his medals to keep him warm at night, Moyes just has £50 notes.

I love Moyes but this is an excellent point. Kendall remains the most successful manager in our history and even then we can look back and say what if.. re. Euro ban.

  2.

Fair point on the whole, but maybe Everton DO need to adopt the siege mentality themselves.

It doesn't really matter WHY QPR fans gave great support, they simply did.

And whilst it's 100% understandable why some Everton fans aren't giving support, the net result is one ground where the fans are onside making a difference and another ground where they aren't.

It's happening at Blackburn too and the fans have ever right to be mad, BUT it's not helping the team. It's just not

A siege mentallity would come if we went into admin or went down - it's not going to just come from playing poorly and picking up the odd win to keep our heads above water.

It does matter why QPR fans gave great support because their recent success is the plain and obvious reason.

  3. Getting the club out of trouble (and it's not THAT dire yet) needs manager, players and fans all pulling to together and grabbing those wins.

Goodison has to be like QPR last night, a cauldron with the fans never shutting up to spur their team on - it DOES make a difference.

Yes it makes a massive difference but once again you're missing the point and comparing a team who have just been promoted for the first time in many years and have not long been taken over by a £££ owner and are now watching a team far superior to what they have over the past decade... on the other hand we're a team who have not signed a player for 3 years, sold some of our best players, not getting the run of the green all too often and generally going stale... investment is pretty much the only thing that will bring back any optimism to Goodison Park - where there's optimism there is atmosphere.

Cue the but Man.City fans got behind 'us' in the 3rd tier of English football.. true but that's siege mentallity, Leeds fans did too. If we (Everton) were to go that low we (Evertonians) would be there week in week out getting us back to where we belong. But we're not at that stage yet, we are in a stale and sorry position and it's gone on for too long and I will not blame Evertonians for not making much of an atmosphere at the moment as I'm finding it hard to sing about much myself when I'm at GP.

  4. I've been trying to say this for a long while on here... corporate facilities!!!

"Crucially it also envisages Goodison becoming an economically-viable SMART stadium that could be used 365 days a year to generate money instead of only for nine months."

  5.

The only threat he provided was the threat of getting sent off.

I backed Coleman last week as one of the better players on the pitch but today he was awfull, ran straight into players and lost the ball on every occasion, how he was allowed to stay on for the whole 90 mins is a mystery.

    Rodwell gets it for me.

Got to agree with this... the biggest feature of Drenthe's game today was his ego! - massively pissed me off and ditto on Coleman.

  6. Distin on for Neville. FFS, Moyes.

Shit decision especially with them having Guthrie and Gosling in the middle, if Osman and Rodwell can't cope with them... well.

We are 5minutes slower than these in all areas - I'm going to break something if this continues!!! major overreaction alert.gif

  7. Its a daily trivia thread not a Quiz.

    http://www.toffeetal...ootball-trivia/

    "Here's one for you all...

Who's the Everton player who didn't play in the 1966 World Cup as his Mrs didn't let him"?

Knowing what sort of man he was I'm sure it would have been his choice not his Mrs, or Miss as she would have been at the time.

One question on it's own is not much of a quiz!!! I'd say it's more a daily trivia type question... well done anyway - you got it eventually! wink.png

and I thought you said no spoilers!!!shaking fist.png

  8. 1. Who do you think NUFC Should worry the most about on Saturday and why?

Drenthe and Coleman if they play as they are fast and direct wingers and I think full-backs is your weakest area.

    2. Who should we least worry about and why?

Bilyaletdownov - looks far too light weight for the Prem. Straqularsi - (if he comes on) looks very poor!

    3. Which NUFC player do you think will cause you the most problems and why?

Cabaye looks class, I said it at the time that he'd be one of the signings of the summer. If Ba can find space Cabaye will find him and we can be a bit eratic at the back with picking up clever movement.

    4. Which player do you see causing you the least and why?

Obertan - I don't really rate him. I think he'll be a squad player when/if Ben Arfa fully recovers.

    5. Where do you see yourselves finishing this year?

That's a really tough one - ask me over the last 6-7 years and I'd say top 6 but there is a real negative somewhat defeated feel around Goodison at the mo so to be totally honest a top 10 finish is probably the best we can hope for.

    6. And where can you see NUFC Finishing.

You should finish in the top 8 with the start you've had but if Ba gets injured I think you'd struggle in the goal stakes although Best has bagged a few. I think you need and will probably buy a striker or 2 in Jan.

    7. With David Moyes coming up to an impressive anniversary of beaning in charge of your team, what are your thoughts of him not winning a trophy in that time?

Who has won a trophy in that time though? He arguably did better than winning a trophy in getting us into Champs League only to have a nightmare draw vs Villareal (while the red lot got some part-timers, when they shouldn't have even been in the competition) and a perfectly legit goal ruled out. Sadly most trophies are bought these days and we can't compete in the money stakes.

    8. Following that question, do you have an opinion on Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew?

He's had his critics but there's no doubt he's got the team playing for him. He did well at Reading and Southampton and got West Ham to a cup final so he's had relative success but I think he's upset a few people along the way. When he went to Newcastle Hughton was doing a decent job and was 'unfairly' dismissed so I don't think he really got a grand welcoming... but he's done a decent job and you have a much better team overall than last season.

    9. And do you have an opinion on our owner Mike Ashley?

What a tool but at least he's got a bit of money!

    10. Finally, what are your predictions and scorers?

Through no logic at all 1-2 to EFC - Drenthe and Saha for us turning around a S.Taylor 1st half goal for you.
