Thought Hibbert started as a striker? Anyway, agree with your point.
He was a right winger I think.

You must have been watching a different game to me, I only recall two shots of note from us in the whole game.
Our squad is a lot more capable than that. We beat Chelsea & Man Utd on the bounce 2 seasons back with more or less the same players, and Chelsea are not as good as they were then. I dont expect us to win, but I at least expect us to show some pride and have a go. We sat back and rolled over, especially after the 1st goal...
Regardless of end product we were set up 'positively' today.
As for our squad vs theres... we're the same minus 1 or 2 and they're the same plus 1 or 2 £20m+ player!!!
-
I feel sorry for moyes at the mo, we haven't added value to our squad for 3 years yet people's expectations seem sky high.
Shit tactics vs Citeh for sitting back...
Shit tactics vs Chelsea for going at them a bit and trying to get a foot hold in the game...
Thank fuck for shit referees - they take the emphasis off the actual performance!
-
How are we expected to play against Chelsea - we limited them to few chances and had many promising moments ourselves. I'm not disappointed with our performance overall but am worried by them having 4 or 5 chances and scoring 3. We tried to take the game to them but money talked ultimately!

Sickener for Wales this morning....ref fucking up not confined to football it seems.
Was gutted for them - not a huge fan of rugby or wales in general but was gutted all the same.
-
and yeah yeah I appreciate anyone can talk about football in a friendly manner but I'm giving you both a cos if Atkinson can do it, so can I!!!
Come one come all on toffeetalk!!!
-
Watched him concede 7 in a testimonial at wolves today! Including an akinbiyi hat-trick - he did have a holyoaks, emmerdale and Waterloo road actor in front of him though!!!
-
Fair play redside - thanks!
-
Couldn't the fourth official do that?
He's on the touchline so could be influenced. The 5th official must be out of sight and totally independent like rugby and cricket video judges.
-
Any break in play will be used as a sponsorship/advertisment opportunity. I don't want the EPL going down the NFL route.
The linesmen are 'assistant referees' so that says to me the officials are a team of 4 people at the mo, why not have a 5th member who watches everything from a screen and can advise good/bad decisions as they happen.

At the trial Conrad Murray had to say what Michael Jackson was wearing...
He had an adult sized pyjama top on but had managed to squeeze into kid's bottoms.
Sorry, awful I know!!!
-
Not sure if it's been mentioned here but Charlie Adam needs a little tip of the hat as it looks like he saved Rodwell from getting in any more trouble when the red was shown. He spoke to him and led him off in a genuine way where some others in the past have looked to wind up or goad the 'offender'.
Fair play Charles!
-
I think the main plus would be that it wouldn't have to interfere with the flow of the game as it can be done away from the pitch.
-
On the back of yesterday I was talking to my mate about the Rodwell incident. We'll never know if that decision ultimately won them the game as they may have beaten us anyway, but it sure did shape the game and make the contest an uneven one.
Anyway I asked the question... Why couldn't Rodwell have been sent to a sin bin for an initial 5 minutes or so while the decision was reviewed independently?
Okay it would have still disabled us but would it have shaped the whole match? If he's committed the crime then uphold the red, if not then he can come back on and the ref can apologise at the final whistle. We're all human, we all make mistakes, this I understand, what I don't understand is that there are the people/ technologies to help in these situations, why not use them?
I'm not a huge fan of Ice-Hockey or Rugby - I watch them but don't fully understand the sin binning rules - but it seems to work in both sports.
Thoughts?

i think you were a bit out of order tellin him to fuck off..no need
Guilty ( )... for that I apologise. Like I said, I had put my point across in a very unarticulate way.

Your a bitter lad aren't you O.o Bluesky has been a great poster so far and has never been offending. It doesnt matter if he posts a lot as a city fan in an Everton forum, as long as he is not offending and is a good poster (which he is) than he is welcomed.
My bitterness was in response to coin throwing comments! Not bitter at all, been posting on here for years and like occasional banter from other fans regarding our meetings. But when a non-Evertonian is the main poster on an Everton forum, well that's not right and a bit odd in my eyes, regardless of what kind of poster he is. Apologies if I did not make my point in the most articulate way last night (ale/vino/rum doth flow!) but I stand by what I believe. That's all I have to say on the issue, no problem with the bloke (he's just the carbon copy of avinalaff - some believe them to be the same person!) I just think that Toffetalk isn't doing what it says on the tin with him being such a prominent poster! I will just hide his posts until he's converted into a royal blue!

I think his first season was up and down at first, but he was our best player last year for much of it in my eyes, and has been good this season too. Jags on the other hand had a great partnership with Lescott, but was unlucky, and found himself injured. Since his return he's been rocky, and a break away from the pressure could actually change his luck. I think we should be rotating more as it is. It's the only way to utilise a squad and keep everyone fit, and happy, and it keeps players on their toes too.
I agree he regularly out performs Jags and is often our best player but he also often makes very costly mistake - more so than anyone else.
-
I've donated the coin he tossed to the benevolent fund
Ha, you've made an assumption of me... I think those coin/object throwers are scum...
now here's my assumption of you...

If you bothered to actually read - I stated very clearly during the game, it was never a sending off. This isn't about the incident, it's about the rules - totally different subject.
It was never a sending off. Go and actually read what people post before you shout your mouth off.
I know it's been a bad day, but 90% of folks on here have shown class, I suggest you take their lead.
I generally do but I like to scan through posts, yours go on and on... I know I'm a minority in my view but it doesn't sit right with me that the 2nd biggest poster on derby day is a city fan. Yeah great I should post more... bollocks.
I'm just going to have to use the block/hide key on you.

Talking overall there has been 216 Derbies you know
Yep, fully aware of that. I'm talking about today and was commenting in a light hearted way.
-
Gray, Motson, Tyler = best commentators.
I respect the views of 'Merson', Le Tiss, Collymore, Dixon and Shearer.
Lineker, Keys and Lynam = good anchors.
Jeff Stelling = god!
-
Distin has probably been our best player to be fair.
Agree in a way but he makes a lot more costly mistakes than anyone else, yet gets us out of shit more than anyone else too!!!
-
Am not disputing that, but he was still wank at the old lady. He had the laziest performance i've ever seen, literally just stood over the half way line to the left hand side and didnt put a single bit of effort in.
Personally i'd have Drogba and Bergkamp before him as well.
Have you not seen...
Brett Angell
Nick Chadwick
Michael Branch
Stuart Barlow
Tommy Johnson
John Spencer
Danny Cadamarteri
Mo Johnstone
Mik Madar
etc...
