A lot of this has probably come from people buying arshavin on footie man and having him on fifa - so he's the best player in the world now - how the fuck people can say he'll do a better job than cahill - ridiculous - on what basis can you say that?! - If he's that good why don't we sell cahill to fund this deal?! Daily Mail says we've rejected a bid from boro for Faddy - how true that is I don't know. Moyes seems to be a fan of Downing - looks like boro are making one last attempt to tie him up with a contract - so if he refuses I wouldn't oppose a swap deal involving Faddy (after all faddy's on the left-wing half the time - I know who I'd prefer). A lot of people on here evidently don't like Downing but he'll always put in a quality ball, he's an England international for more than just McClaren (although he's a big factor.) Signing Downing would allow Arteta or Pienaar move into the middle of the park possibly or just give us riches in which to rotate.

With Anderson we've got another player to give the ball away and although 451 seems more defensive than 442 it may act negatively, yak on his own will have his work cut-out, at least in 442 we've got another man up there to hopefully keep the ball up the field for longer.
