  1. Heitinga was the main one for me. Had always been touted as one of the golden generation of Dutch players and a mainstay of the national team from a young age. Similarly Drenthe based on the hype from his u21 days. From a bit earlier, I would probably say Kanchelskis and Limpar. Both quality and exciting players.
  2. I'd like to see us go with 2 up top to start with, and also see Coleman given a opportunity to develop into a decent fullback. Would also like to see Rodwell play more than 3 games before going MIA, and for us to start our season with everybody else.
  3. Looks really impressive on the 6 seconds of video.
  4. What a bunch of shites they are. He gave an answer, and they still tried to push him for more.
  5. Hedwiges Maduro. Same under 21 team as Drenthe, and looked the part (given it was afew years ago). Few Champ Manager players in there too lol.
  6. Needs to be offered a contract if he's hasn't already. Love the fellas attitude and honesty .
  7. Faubert would be a decent shout in my opinion although I would like to see Coleman develop more into the flying fullback role as opposed to winger (which he really isn't).
  8. Don't like him... Better looking version of Iain Dowie. Fair play he's come through the leagues etc, but he really is pissing on his chips by handing in a transfer request. Hope Newcastle or QPR buy him.
  9. Only hope he brings his Mrs with him, and that her and some of her former colleagues fall in with the club and invest.
  10. Would be gutted if Baines was to go regardless of ammount, but obviously the higher the fee the better. I do find some of the ridiculous £5m rumours a joke though and wuite clearly made up to get some interest and controversy. I'm not sure though if what the papers print actually is libelous, as it's branded as gossip/rumour not fact.
  11. We have to sign him back. Outstanding form since his return, which has made us look better and he clearly has an attachment to the club. No brainer as long as the finance is there.
  12. Good interview that. Quite touching aswell, as you can see what the club means to the big lad too. Lucky enough to have met him a few times, and he really does seem like a top bloke, and pretty shy too. lol
  13. Pienaar, Ossie, Heitinga, Gueye and Felli for me in that order.
  14. Would've gone for Jelly had he managed to bury that chance. The lad seems to be such a natural in front of goal was gutted. Cahill was great again, and has started to really hit some form again (even if he's not scoring). Completely agree with the comment on Gibson earlier on. Simple and mostly effective, and how nice is it to have someone who's not afraid to have a dig from outside the box. Gueye had his best game for us so far, but still for me looked pretty hesitant in parts and not confident enough to take a man on. Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Neville all played pretty well and contained Sunderland. Felli is a beast.... end of. MOM goes to Ossie though. Awesome yesterday, and at the heart of pretty much everything that we did.
  15. WHY?!?!?!?! FFS! Heitinga has been one of, if not, our best and most consistent players since getting a run in the team.
  16. Gary Wales? There was an Argentinian lad running around on Champ Manger called German Denis . I know this one doesn't count.
  17. Frightening when a young healthy lad can be struck down like that. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family for a swift recovery!
  18. I'm going to go with Cahill I think. Good performance, good goal and some nice general play, until he clearly started fading a bit near the end. Distin and Heitinga were quality again and unlucky to get booked. Coleman in patches looked useful, as did Jelavic. Couldn't really say anyone played badly, however Gueye and Strac didn't really have much of an opportunity to get involved.
  19. Just adds further fuel to my 'I hate Redknapp' fire. Should do really well managing England if he thinks that you only have to play for a half. We did more than enough to beat them in the first, and they battered us in the second and didn't score. Get over it bollock chops!
  20. Actually don't mind the pink one . Not too sure how I'd feel about the navy/royal combo though.

    Zoo's Quiz.

Arsenal or stab in the dark Bolton.
  22. No ideas. Don't remember being at the match
  23. Two memories for me, and both being very similar last day escapes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvbvavLJwvU Everton v Wimbledon 1994 Everton v Cov 1998 Heart in mouth time on both, and remember the relief. Jumped from the main stand onto the exec boxes to get down onto the pitch after the Cov game. I can't get a ban now can I? lol
  24. Was listening to fighting talk last week and there was a bit where they were talking about some venn diagram that the FA apparently have. English, in a specific age bracket and with the relevant experience. The only man who fits all of those criteria is.............................. STEVE MCLAREN!
  25. Thursday 16th February 2012: Who was the first English player to win League Championships in three different countries? First thought was Linker, but then remembered he came when we were Champions. Trevor Steven- EFC, Rangers, Marseille?
