Doesn't matter what system you play, if your good enough you'll play. You miss out the main reason why he didn't play, in a team that was the worst in the division with a squad of players who were also the worst in the league, he didn't play because the manager thought he wasn't good enough. That's a simple enough reason.

Not the sort of mid we need, this fella hasn't scored a single goal in his career. He's not going to give us an awful lot more than Warrington can give us, we need to try what we've got before we go out and buy someone who is not any better.

Apparently he's not even in Efc thoughts, count him out.

We also have Dele, Gray, and Iwobi who can play behind the striker. I'm a bit more concerned about good defenders and good attackers who can score goals. Midfield is not a worry for me, OK if we can bring one in but I won't be slashing my wrists if we don't.

Not for me. We already have Gray who is forever running down blind alleys, a fair amount of skill but nothing in the head to make use of it, so we don't need another one.

Allan, Doucoure, Gomez, Davies, Godfrey, Holgate, there's half a dozen teams in the prem who would take any one of them.

Godfrey or Holgate could play in that position and we also have the players you mentioned. No panic for me there.
