He's not on the same level as Martyn imo. I think this thread is lost on some. Yes, Howard is consistent and one of the better keepers in the league. However the competition in the league isn't as strong as in the past, but most of them are younger than Howard and should improve in the coming years and we'll be left behind in a position that we have traditionally had one of the best players. The main 2 flaws in Howards game are his distribution and what can only be attributed as flapping, and there has been little of improvement in either, with I assume communication being the main key to both. He has improved immensely at pens, that helped us get to a cup final, but that doesn't outweigh his flaws imo.

I think he came across as upset about only getting a draw as we deserved to win, but was contempt with the point as we were going home with non until the 86th minute. He acknowledges the side didn't play well in the first half, but the team made up for it in the second, only for poor officiating to deny us the result. I prefer the saying "second place is the first loser", but we play a 38 game season you can't win them all.
