Heitinga done what I'd expect an average defender to do, I expect better of him. Jags was in no mans land, Di Santo is Wigan's only striker on the pitch one of our defenders should be picking him up. Felli elbow, what an idiot, been coming all game.

This but Heits should have done better, and Jags is the man who should have been marking Di Santo.

Feck sake, you could see that goal coming from a mile away. School boy defending.

Get in Jela! Chelsea getting beat, Grant Holt.
  6. You're welcome, hopefully someone else on here will be able to offer you a little more information. I haven't seen enough to give a more informed opinion. Going forward he's seems to have it all, and could end up being credited with his own style. It's hard to pick a player to compare him to, maybe Ballack for his composure and passing, and to a lesser extent Totti for his flair. We offered Baxter a contract, so the club must have still saw some potential still there, but he must not have progressed at the rate they were hoping. Baxter knew he weren't going to get many chances in the first team so left to help his development. If he does well I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back here.

Same again, I'm happy, but surprised Distin hasn't been rotated in.
  8. I haven't got much to go off but in general Barkey plays behind the striker with his biggest strength is probably his vision and threading the ball through, he can beat his man as well and has a good shot on him. I've no idea about fees/wages. His loan contract length is only a month, but it can be renewed. It depends on his development, if he improves his defensive decision making he'll soon be in the team. If he's not ready for the prem by x-mas I'd expect him to be loaned back out for the remainder of the season. Baxter was offered a new contract, but at a lower rate. He opted to leave on a free and joined Oldham where he is doing well and their fans are impressed and he was their motm in their last game "Baxter was lively throughout , you can see he has the confidence in his ability & he was our only goal threat."
  9. He must me a United fan, they have a similar disease to kopite-syndrome were they believe any player in their red is WC. He must have a really bad case, as it usually wavers once the player switches club.

This game may be a good indicator for Coleman's defensive ability, as they tend to play down the left.
  11. Lloris if he does a Pienaar at Spurs. I can't see United keeping to goalies happy, so either would be worth a punt in the future. Mignolet if he shows the same level of consistency as last year. Begovic is worth keeping an eye on, as I think he has the potential to up his level. Handanovic, because he has a great name, but he may be a little out of our price range.
  12. Sold-out 3 weeks before the game, must be a record for us.
  13. Lately we have sold to buy, so it's hard to find a mix of players that actually played together. I was born in '88 so I haven't got as much to compare the current 11 to. '95: Southall, Watson, Kanchelskis, Limpar, and Ferguson '96: Southall, Watson, Speed, Barmby, and Ferguson I think the 2 above aren't far off with 5 making it in todays 11, but squad wise there's no question. However, I'm guessing the older boys will give a better assessment knowing more about our title winning side of the 80's or if they're granddads maybe the team with Ball, Harvey, and Kendall. As much as Tim Howard has done well, in comparison with previous team it's the most obvious position the current team lacks in.
  14. Looks like a few SAFs post on RAWK "Never understand the time keeping in europe. No matter what happens in stoppage time they always stop it when the alloted time is up. Or in this case, 37 seconds early, 'cos that makes sense." "How on earth did we lose that? Ref stopped that at 3.36 added time, and play didn't start until 40 seconds into injury time. Screwed us of a whole minute there. We should've won though." "Bit of a stitch up that was. Very angry with the standard of the officials, tied up beautifully with them deciding to blow the final whistle half a minute early. We've paid a harsh price for a small lapse in concentration, but let us not lose sight of the fact that they were a bunch of cheating bastards. I fucking hate the Europa League sometimes." I count 9 first team players on during the last 20 mins were Liverpool lost the game. "Not bad for a reserves game, essentially, not happy with the result, but as long as we smash stoke at the weekend, don't mind" One sensible poster "With all due respect but Gerrard could have stayed on the bench and we would have been better off without his ridiculous loss of possession in midfield again. All the unnecessary clever balls and Hollywood passes don't belong in this system... Unlucky, Henderson didn't deserve to be substituted For Mr assisting the opposition for the 4 time this season." From the first 2 of 18 pages, no wonder they're infamous.
  15. No idea, he's from NI and trying to wind Gibson up for playing for Eire. I can understand why the N.Irish get upset as they'd be the better nation imo, still a bit harsh, but he might be Gibson's friend and messing about for all I know.
  16. Good ball in, shameful how Shelvey ran the other way and celebrated like he alone had just won them the game, but I expect no better from a red-shite player.
  17. “@allykernaghan: @D_gibson4 I'm as gd at my job as u are at showing loyalty” Only need 2 be loyal 2 #EFC mate!
  18. I'm not a fan of Pienaar, but feckin'ell this is harsh Luvuyo Lava Mfunzana Lost respect for Pienaar, SA were the for him when he was a Bench warmer at Spurs now his playing at Everton. His tired to honour call ups #Hope he breaks his leg in 4 places

I hate Wigan away it's always one of our worst games to watch. They've took Fulham's rank of teams I'm least confident we'll beat away: Arsenal, Liverpool, ManU, and Wigan. I'll be happy with a clean sheet, with a goal would be a bonus. This is the type of game that will show if we've got what it takes in the long haul.
  22. Don't sweat about that. We've already got one training; atm he's training with Shef Wed
  23. Andy Lewis ‏@efc_andylewis EFC squad watching video examples of Barca passing & movement and how they control games when in front. Steve Round's analysis interesting. Barca vid was part of weekly team meeting. Was to show an example of how the best close games out through simple, effective, quick passing.
  24. Just saw on fb that Everton are doing a corporate package. Front row main stand with hospitality before and after the game at the Hilton hotel. Worth a look before filling the thieves pockets.
