  1. We're too (allegedly)negative over here, the thread would be titled Hate Hamilton
  2. The reason why I'm hoping Italy win tonight, 'Spain have played a lower % of passes forward than any other side at Euro 2012'. Bad for football is Spain win imo will generate more excuses to play negative boring football. With the players they have the should be as entertaining as Arsenal not Stoke.
  3. Fenebahce have just signed Topal for 3.5 mil, so have money and can feck off hard balling us.
  4. Tried to like Matt's post and got this message An error occurred You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day. It's the first post I've knowingly clicked, so don't know wether there is a glitch or if I've accidentally clicked a few.
  5. Sylvain Distin ‏@sylvaind15tin Why everyone is talking as if Bainse was gone????
  6. I was being lazy with brand, on top of the fanbase/merchandise there's the clubs premierleague status and the revenue that brings.
  7. Still dont think Rogers is upto the job so he has been ineffective in transfer market and this is a squad that needs about 200mill spending on it to get it into the top four let alone winning the league. Disheartened Red http://www1.skysport...land-Sigurdsson comment 2 days ago. Apologies if this has already been done, but i have been busy trying to enjoy a summer of non-LFC-worrying since Brendan was finally announced (i also have this old fashioned notion of enjoying summer sports in the close season - TdF anyone?). I have had half an eye on the transfer news via Sly, but I am actually not that interested for a change. I think we have a very good squad, especially with the re-addition of the injured players and those that were on loan. We have a new manager with a strategy for success not only based on top quality players, but a system of play. So, if we don't sign anyone, would it really be the end of the world? For me, i think it is more important to hold on to the quality players we have, in particular the back four. I am a glass half full person for sure, but would love to know everyone's thoughts. Dave http://www.redandwhi...?topic=295133.0 They are truly in a world of their own, transfer window only opened today. They have 97 pages for the Sigurdsson rumour, and I thought we were bad for Moutinho. Just to be fair there is one sensible kopite: Dont see how what Sigurdsson's doing to us is any worse than what he did to Swansea. Nobody said boo about him being a money grabbing mercenary when he was fucking them off to play for us and lining his pockets whilst doing so, instead we tried to believe it was because of Rodgers . But now it looks like he's decided to go to a club where he's getting even more money still then suddenly we wouldnt want that sort of player here? Do me a favour. Sigurdsson's been consistent all the way through. He wants to play at a good club and get paid as much as he can to do so.
  8. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/34/soccer-values-09_Everton_340028.html £144 mil 3 years ago, so add the new tv deal on top of that. Or just off player value the team is worth £115 mil estimated by http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/premier-league/startseite/wettbewerb_GB1.html The asking price is not public, but your figure is lower than are actual value, yet still moan it's too much. The players on the pitch plus Goodison plus Everton as a brand is very reasonable. However football doesn't stick to the standard financial rules. With clubs bankrolled and player power dictating the market. Back to the same old house analogy. If a house (players) cost £115 to build an enterprise doesn't sell at cost, it has value added. Add to that the price may be higher because of the location (brand worth). Now imagine your house (Everton) cost half the market value for all the materials used to build it and I came along and offered to buy the house at cost, and all the neighbours (fans) wanted you (Kenwright) to sell, you would rightly tell me to fuck off.
  9. THTandLCAB. THT 10 paragraphs just to say Twitter can blow rumours out of proportion and not to take hearsay as gospel. The feck is with his(or her) paragraph spacing as well. I assume LCAB's tongue was too busy licking his own arse to open his mouth and inform his mate that he already stated this obvious the other week. Are people really so dim they need these 'statements' on repeat. FFS we're Evertonians, I expect better of our fans, well all fans other than Spurs, Newcastle, and Liverpool who all going to finish level on points and goal difference and share the title next season with their new manager Pep.
  10. Didnt know who he is, so googled. Got to say he looks sexy!
  11. I found it in their 'name and shame' transfer rumours thread sadly. BackPage. ‏@BackPage Update: Eljero Elia will assess all options next week and make a decision then. West Ham & Everton main interested clubs #WHUFC. #EFC BackPage. ‏@BackPage @PaulDaly90 I was told yesterday that he held talks with Everton on Thurs&Friday. Very interesting. I have been told were in talks with a few players, Pienaar deal got closer last week and that no bid as been put in forBaines!.
  12. 2 although I'd rather the money go towards getting us in the black and not forced to sell Felli.
  13. How can you consider this post to be someone being a prick? If anything Haf is showing not all footballers are stereotypical dicks.
  14. Roddick got called a lucky bastard by the commentator after hitting the top of the net and the ball creeping over haha.
  15. He went 2 sets down, and the 4th set went to a tie break. Benneteau was running out of steam in the 4th, hurt his knee or lower thigh and was never in the 5th.
  16. Philippines, Indonesia, New Guinea, and Thailand.
  17. Federer struggling here. Got a few mates who usually make a killing laying off the favourites, scarred to ask how the gambling is going.
  18. Is following a player on Twitter the 21st century form of tapping up players?
  19. The press and the fans done it from the start. Jokes about it Top comment on the vid as well.
  20. Totally agree on Djokovic, it's his era now, but think Murray the Nadal to his Federer. If Murray had the same training I think they'd be on par with each other.
  21. He's around the same age as Djokovic and Nadal, can see Nadal struggling once he's 30. Hopefully he'll meet him before hand, if not he'll have a lot of finals with Djokovic and if we all shout "Come on Tim" loud enough Murray will win at least one, and with my last strand of optimism hopefully will be the big one Wimbledon.
  22. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/after-the-story-of-honest-passersby-handing-908132#.T-y5BYfISSY.twitter No shocks, hopefully the southerners will fuck off with the scouse sterotype.
  23. I'm not a big fan of Tsonga, he reminds me of Nadal but with a higher ratio of athlete to tennis skill. Really think Nadal will be knackered when he's older, the amount of strain he puts on his body is unreal. Mentality wise he's probs the strongest but once that falls he'll be finished. Federer of a few years ago was on another level than the rest, in terms of ability now Djokovic, Federer, and Murray as pretty equal. With Del Potro on his day challenging, also Ferrer and Berdych lately.
  24. Murray has a decent record against Djokovic (5-8), last final against him he flopped it though. He's got an awful record against Nadal even though imo Murray is the better tennis player, just can't keep up with Nadal's stamina.
