Everyone has maintained a dignified silence in the Barkley situation until this point, considering that decisions were made pretty quickly after the end of last season. Really good press conference from Koeman I thought. Can't help but be impressed by the bloke whenever I've watched his stuff before. Very confident, calm and to the point.

Looks like he's trying to literally force a move away from RB Leipzig. Their coach has cancelled their training session after a "brutal" challenge by Keita on one of his teammates.

Apparently Marseille in talks to sign Dembele from Celtic. £20m doesn't seem like such a sting now with the mad prices going on. -

Bored of it now. Good player, but I honestly don't think he's worth paying over the odds for given some of the lads we've signed and the price some other players are quoted as being available for. Happy to move on to other targets. -
Got me and my lad tickets sorted for Lower Gwladys... First time there with him after spending most of last season in the Family Enclosure. Really looking forward to it.

Disappointed to have not got one decent signing in on the day, but its been generally quiet anyway I think. Our best business, without doubt, has been getting rid of the dead wood. Never thought it would happen, but suggests that there is a proper strategy behind what we're doing.... I hope!
