£220k…..  seen it quoted by baz from toffeetv on the overlap.   Let’s just say he knows far far more than most at the club.  He knows the bobble and I believe still has close contacts.

he was pretty definite about the treatment Barkley got from Koeman too.

According to this, he was on around £90k per week.  As I said before though, take anything online with an air of scepticism.

I guess it’s hard to know how much we do have available and over how many years the money will have to be paid but this is certainly surprising if it’s true we’ve made an offer (and it seems to be). Makes more sense if we had moved Gomes, Gbamin, Mina and had that 300k in wages plus some transfer money

How much have the 3 new lads taken out of the Sigurdsson, Delph, Tosun, Kenny, Richarlison wages?

From what I can find online, and obviously take it with a pinch of salt...

    GS 100k, FD 80k, CT 60k, JJK 15k, Richy 100k+ (>£350k)

Got to be a few quid left over surely.

I saw an interesting viewpoint on the ‘Rainbow’ issue recently from one of the guys in Australia who also refused to wear the shirt. In essence, what he said was this: “My personal beliefs do not allow me to condone this type of behaviour but I was happy to keep my personal beliefs to myself until now. I feel that being told to support any issue by my employer violates my right to my own opinion (which, in this case was publicly neutral) but, whilst I have refrained from publicly criticizing this behaviour in the past, my beliefs will not allow me to actively support it now. The club has put me and others in a very difficult position by making assumptions on our behalf that they had no right to and it is the club that I have an issue with, not the LGBT community.”

Quite an articulate and well reasoned response I think.

I think your talking about the issue in the NRL this week. There were 7 players who were stood down by the club as they refused to wear the rainbow shirt  as it conflicted with their personal/religious beliefs. Caused a stink in Australia with opinions massively divided on the rights of the players.

  4. Not too sure if this is right place for this post but;

Just read a post on twitter that our former head of recruitment, Greitar Steinsson, has been snapped up by Spuds as their director of performance.

Seems that the people who were involved in our recruitment set up are still pretty well regarded elsewhere, even if they weren't necessarily allowed to do their jobs properly.

    Pickford clear No1.
Shouldn’t really be a discussion but media do love it don’t they

Sadly, for me the whole scenario is more than a little reminiscent of Joe Hart.  Media decided he wasn't good enough, and then everyone and their mate jumped on board. I'm just hoping JP is stronger mentally than Hart was, and it doesn't have the same impact on his career.

Pickford is head and shoulders the best keeper England have at their disposal, no matter how much the papers try to twist it.

Voted for by the public (I think) so I was fully expecting him to be shafted by the general hate for him and us, but won despite that; anyone who voted anything else is a moron.

I actually didn't realise how much other clubs fans dislike him, until I read something the other day where the world and his mate were calling for JP to be dropped for Ramsdale.

Ramsdale not a patch on Pickford for me... And literally as I'm typing this he's just been beaten at his near post.

  7. I remember a quote from him a while back, where he said something along the lines of it being inevitable he would leave at some point... But it would have to be in the best interests of the club, first and foremost, and himself.

I could see new contract with a decent buyout clause for CL team (preferably not one in the PL)!
