If they are the choices I would prefer the first myself. But I think there is not a lot to chose between them. I am not much of a one for suggestions though. I usually suggest something either truly awful, or just plain stupid. How about the old 'salmon pink' and royal blue stripes? Or perhaps Blue and yellow? The post box is white anyway.

Honestly I am not too sure on him. I think that in his case the underlying problems (whatever they are) might prove to be a bit of a disaster for even Moyes. But I may be wrong.

Possibly, but they were like that with Dunc too. I still want him here. I would love to see him take out Gerrard in the Derby. Almost worth a three match ban just for that. (Or am I just vicious?) With Donovan, I think he needs consistancy. But as for being good enough... Well in the first half against Brazil, he scared them witless. Just how good does he have to be? Moyes could do something with him I am sure.

I suspect the point is: Possibly a good signing, but who are we signing to play in the first team. Obviously Peterlin is not for that, at least for some time.

Altidore and Donovan. Yep They are the names. Donovan in the final caught my eye and in a few of the other games I saw Altidore proved to be, as you say, strong as an ox. I wouldn't argue against either of them being a target buy.

I have to agree with that last post by Marcopaulo. Saha did pretty well, and I think (I may be wrong) that when he came, he hadn't played a lot of first team football in some time. I still hold hopes that he will be a prized asset this season. Alongside the Yak, we MAY just have a great pairing up front. (OK it may be pretty dreadful too, but I am always the pessimist, I am trying my hand at optimism....... Let me know how I do)

Just seen on SkY Sport News, that the Stats for Owen last season made him the highest scorer per game played than anyone in the Prem. (They said it was 29%) (As an example Rooney only managed 11%) You can make statistics say anything though so I don't hold out too much weight for these figures.

My sympathies mate. I have to do the same on the 13th, the 20th, the 22nd the 23rd and the 24th of this month. I watched the USA v Brazil final and I thought Dempsey was OK, nothing to write home about though. The lad I thought looked the part was the big fella on the right. But I can't remember his bloody name. LOL

The Moutinho thing has gone on a long time. Honestly, I think if we were going to sign him it would have been done and dusted long since. Either we can't sign him or we won't sign him. Same difference really.

Yeah I appologise about that. I don't normally swear in a post either. I think I am being a little too emotive over the subject. I do feel sorry for those under compulsory purchase order though. "The likes of Tesco and the council seem to be stamping on the small folk a bit" is what I should have said.
